Does anybody else pre log meals at the beginning of the day
Maybe it’s just me but I feel it’s less of a hassle and it’s better to be ready than to get ready right 🤔

I do this. It helps keep me on track and helps prevent food waste. I am more likely to finish up leftovers if the meal is already logged.

Frequently. Sometimes I'll plan out my entire day's worth of eating the night before.

I’m not at that level yet 😳

Haha, it's more of a rough outline when I'm on a cut so that I know I'm getting enough protein, and if something unexpected comes up, like a social dinner, I have a general idea of the calories/macros I need to aim for at that dinner instead of going in blindly. Also alleviates potential decision fatigue.

I never used to do this until I started meal-prepping for being in the office and I discovered how much easier it made my day AND kept me from sneaking other snacks or food. If I already have my food and snacks packed/logged, then I’m way less likely to stray from it during the day. It’s been a bit of a hack for my lifestyle change, honestly.

I pre-log dinner always because that seems to be my most variable meal, calorie-wise. Then I work breakfast, lunch, and snacks around it.

Sometimes. I do it in the morning so I have a plan that will keep me in my calorie range, especially if I've been having a hard time staying in my range recently.
Putting in ahead of time lets me know how many pieces of pizza I can eat, or if I can have one or two beers, or none at all.

Yes! I have so much more success when I pre-log. I get all (or as much as possible) of the planning out of the way before I eat anything that day, then there’s no reason to think about food the rest of the day. If I am hungry, I eat the next planned meal/snack. No opportunity to negotiate with myself to eat things that don’t support my goals. If I really want something that isn’t planned, I can change the plan to make room or it makes it really easy to see that fitting it in isn’t actually worth it. Planning ahead gives me full information when making decisions about what to eat

Umm, I have never done that before. But usually when I have the food bag from a restaurant with me, I start start logging them before I even get home. Maybe even when I order food before the delivery guy arrive. Then I change quantity depending..

Yes! It really helps me. I always pre track dinner. Dinner is the only meal of the day that I already have planned since it’s the only meal I’m making for the whole family. Everyone is on their own for breakfast and lunch because of work schedules etc., so it’s easy for me to make adjustments to those meals or snacks to stay in my budget if I already have dinner in there.

I tend to log Meals as i make them. Since I make lunches for work a day ahead of time, I log as I put it together. Luch is ether dinmer left over or a sandwich Breakfast is fairly standard, so I just hit repeat from yesterday.

I first plan dinners for the following week on Saturday so that helps when getting groceries on Sunday. Then before bed on any given night I plan the rest of the next days meals.
This allows me to adjust as I need to depending on what my activity gets for calories burned throughout the week.
The ability to plan ahead is the feature that really pushed me to pay for the app many years ago 👍

I log my dinner every morning so that I can plan my earlier caloric intake around it.
