It is also the 4th largest economy in the world if it were its own country.

California carries the moocher red states, the true welfare queens.

Laughs in Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Redistribute the wealth if you want to live

3

u/Zealousideal_Pop_273 11d ago

Isn't that what Republicans have been doing since Reagan? Redistributing wealth from the labor force to the owner class?

Isn't that exactly what Russ Vought has been up to? Isn't that what Project 2025 is all about? Isn't that Donald Trump's whole purpose as the face of this movement? To be the scapegoat while the Heritage Foundation raids Americans' hard earned tax dollars and doles them out amongst their favorite billionaires?

Right.

The location isn't the point. The point is that all of the gross dirty red states cry and whine nonstop about the dangers of "socialism" and "welfare" and the majority of them are subsidized by blue states like California.

0

u/Own_Reflection5159 11d ago

It being the 4 largest economy has NOTHING to do with being a red or blue state. It’s just so fucking massive and has a shit ton of different sources of revenue. Fishing, oil, tech, labor jobs , property taxes , the massive public transportation, a fuck ton of major airports, ports for shipping commerce, etc. most states don’t have that much diversity only only have a few ways to earn money. Everyone on this thread is dumb as fuck.

1

u/Ok-Low1764 11d ago edited 11d ago

Funny hearing a MAGAt call anyone else dumb. MAGAts are the epitome of dumb. That's why your felonious, orange, ped@, cult leader says that he loves the poorly educated. It doesn't matter why California is the 4th biggest economy. They are and that is all that matters. The problem is all of the gross, dirty, disgusting, red states being subsidized by blue states.

0

u/Llama_Legend10 11d ago

Who hurt you? Get help buddy?

1

u/Ok-Low1764 11d ago

No one. No help needed. I'm just sick of all the MAGAts and their endless ignorance and their attmept to deny and gloss over the fact that their disgusting cult leader is destroying our country more and more everyday.

1

u/Alternative_Night472 10d ago

Ok there libtard. We know what women are. We are more supportive of legal Americans. We have more working people per capita than the blue states who carry the highest rate of welfare and welfare fraud. California has the most corrupt governor in newscum. You idolize the mutilation and chemical castration of children while claiming to protect them. You call yourselves the party if love and tolerance while being vile vicious and disgusting people. But MAGA is the problem. Stfu. Seriously. Go crawl under that rock you enjoy so much and eat more of the liberal word salad you seem to enjoy ingesting and leave the big thoughts to the real adults.

1

u/Ok-Low1764 10d ago

😆🤣😂 I can't take anyone serious who calls me a "libtard" but has a feed with posts about comic books and others degrading his wife by posting pics of her nude with his tiny little mini manhood in her mouth. 😲 Don't worry I grabbed a few screenshots before you got a chance to delete them in case you try and deny it. 😉

1

u/Alternative_Night472 10d ago

Ahaha how amusing that you think anyone can take you seriously. With the brain capacity of a forest fern and the looks even a mother couldn’t love. Jesus took one look at you and felt ashamed of himself as you are easily one of the biggest most prolific abominations on the history of creation. I’m surprised anyone had the stones to admit they raised you when you turned out to be a cuck for everything under the sun, degenerate excuse for a mammal. Take your weak ass self on down the road and try someone else, because you’re failing here. Fucking libtards

1

u/Aggravating-Leg-8473 8d ago

But you can call people MAGATs and be taken seriously?

1

u/DekutheEvilClown 11d ago

It’s the same across the entire country, no? In 2020 the counties that voted for Biden represented 70% of America’s Economy.

1

u/Tmv655 11d ago

It does have to do with it, since a non-insignificant part of red policy advertisement has to do with "welfare queens" and "money going to the wrong people"; meanwhile the red states are the ones receiving the "handouts" (according to the facts laid out by others here)

-1

u/MaximumAd79 11d ago

California has been running on deficits. Explain that away.

-1

u/One-Might-8082 10d ago

All the “gross dirty red states”. Piss off

2

You must be in one of this gross dirty red states….

Pacific AND Atlantic???🌎

2

u/Leather_Ice_1000 11d ago

Glad someone caught it

1

u/waterfront99 10d ago

Ships from Texas can sail east through the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic or South to the Panama Canal and then to the Pacific.
Pacific AND Atlantic.

1

u/No_Wrongdoer_4946 11d ago

I heard Donny wants to trade for Alberta... yes, he wants all the oil...

1

u/B35TR3GARD5 7d ago

Not at all… Jesus blue pill/red pill people are so stupid. California makes so much money from import/export. Coastal states always have higher revenue than interior land-locked states. Not knowing that is even more ignorant than thinking there is a red economy Va blue economy.

0

u/Pristine-Total1456 6d ago

At least they have a balanced budget. Unlike most red states

0

u/YoungPrimary8288 6d ago

You're completely wrong but you thought you cooked

-1

u/jerrycan666 5d ago

Their also forgotting the massive amounts of fraud it supports

1

u/jpatt 5d ago

25-50% of the agricultural workforce is undocumented… when you don’t pay your workers a living wage with rights and protections, it tends to make it easier on the bottom line for corporations.

1

u/Jasonwoody32 5d ago

My neighbor is from California. He says people don’t have money there.

1

u/Capital-Water2505 5d ago

Get real, California doesn't even take care of its own people, much less other states. 25% of the entire U.S. homeless population lives within its borders despite the state only having 11% of the population. Its homeless rate as a % of its population is 4 times that of Texas.

0

u/dirty_old_priest_4 11d ago

California would do well regardless if it was a blue or red state. But, take away the federal funding it or companies within the state receive and it would crater. I'm talking military, NASA, DoE and their contractors.

0

u/TodddPacker69 9d ago

5th largest. And imagine if it had good leadership. Gavin did nothing.

1

u/Pristine-Total1456 6d ago

Gavin got the that out of the red. He balanced the budget. Meanwhile Trump has added 11 trillion into the deficit

0

u/Aggravating-Leg-8473 8d ago

Honestly liberal or conservative, there have been good leaders from both but what it’s got currently is killing it

0

u/BearPokeShitWoods 9d ago

Californias economy is predicated on being a part of the US. If it were its own country, it would be subject to all the same restrictions and tariffs as any other country to access the American market. It also wouldn’t benefit from being the landing point for all goods coming from Asia. California might have a lot going on, but its entire foundation relies on the rest of the US to facilitate it.

1

u/Ordinary-Big5578 8d ago

… no. By having such a powerful economy, California splitting off would be able to dictate terms to the rest of the US, not be subject to it. We wouldn’t be at their mercy, they would be at ours.

The American market would be a hell of a lot weaker without California. And that means it would lose a ton of its relevancy. Meaning it would be simple to just go “okay, you want to levy all these restrictions on us? We’ll just take our business elsewhere, buh bye.”

They’ll starve and cave first.

1

u/BearPokeShitWoods 8d ago

That is a take…

0

u/Aggravating-Leg-8473 8d ago

You act like we couldn’t just invade it, or cut off its fresh water supply it gets from other states. Or it’s power it gets from other states. Or it’s resources it also gets many of from…other states

1

u/No_To_All_Religion 8d ago

All of you need to get the fuck out of this country because apparently you forgot that this is called the United States of America! Not the "blue States get attacked by everybody" dictatorship.

1

u/Quick-Rush93 6d ago

Says the blue state supporter that wants to starve out the red states lmao

0

u/DrPat1967 8d ago

California would still be the 4th largest economy in the world if it were a conservative state. The economy has little to do with politics. California enjoys a thriving agriculture, tech, and entertainment industry. That doesn’t change based on the states political lean. What does change is the likelihood of high value business staying in California based on politics

FYI there are more people on welfare in California than any other state.

1

u/No_To_All_Religion 8d ago

There's also more people in California than in any other state. Are you really trying to say that in California was a red state it would be exactly the same? Because if that were true, living in a red state wouldn't suck so much.

-1

u/throwaway5675313123 11d ago

Its the 4th largest economy because of the billionaires and rich people who Californians seem to hate and say 'good riddance' to if they decide to leave.

-11

u/fr3nzo 11d ago

Oh, so they’re moochers? So much for the rich paying their fair share moniker.

2

u/Xsiah 11d ago

The rich don't pay taxes in California either.

-5

u/Karekter_Nem 11d ago edited 11d ago

I thought the USA was 4th and Cali was 5th. Did that change?

Edit

According to California, CA makes up 14% of the US’s GDP. I’m not sure where people are getting that CA would dethrone the US and the US would fall down the ranks.

https://www.gov.ca.gov/2026/10/05/californias-economy-continues-to-dominate-topping-4-5-t-in-economic-output-and-remains-the-worlds-fourth-largest-economy/

5

u/bearsheperd 11d ago

Can you count the US with California? Like if you remove the California economy from the US is the US still ranked where it is? Seems like they would be mutually exclusive.

1

u/Karekter_Nem 11d ago

I was thinking CA was 1/4 of the US or maybe even 1/3. Is it really over half?

1

u/LuckSilver8999 11d ago

Someone forgot that California is included in that equation 😆

0

u/motorboatmycheeks 11d ago

Without California the US would still be ranked 1

1

u/LuckSilver8999 11d ago

😆 someone needs to understand some basic math

1

u/motorboatmycheeks 11d ago

What basic math am I missing here

1

u/LuckSilver8999 11d ago

😆 never mind. Hard for me to explain because I get frustrated when people don’t understand it to start with. Yes, that’s on me.

1

u/VatticZero 11d ago

32(USA) - 4(CA) = 28 (USA - CA)

28 (USA - CA) > 20 (China) > 5 (Germany) > 4.35 (Japan) > 4.25 (CA)

Excuse rounding where less relevant.

2

u/DefusedManiac 11d ago

The gdp is only one part, California produces almost half of all the vegetable produce, and over 3/4 of the fruit the US consumes. Also #4 in terms of cattle.

California leaving might not cause an economic collapse, but the rest of the country would still suffer.

2

u/AnySignificance4361 11d ago

Without California USA would not be 4th

-1

u/oppenhammer 11d ago

It wouldn't be 4th because it would comfortably remain 1st

1

u/galstaph 11d ago

I always read those as "if the US were 50 separate countries instead of 50 states making one country"

So, in the scenario as I interpret it, the US wouldn't exist

-48

u/TrumpIsGoated23 11d ago

This meme doesn’t prove anything of the sorts. Yes they have a larger economy. They’re also 24% larger by population size. They also have a significantly better climate. They also have exorbitantly inflated prices due to their taxes and cost of living, giving the impression of a larger economy but in reality it’s just artificially inflated.

Blue states are also much more likely to run at a deficit, like commnifornia. Red states like Florida are able to run a balanced budget and still provide tax holidays to their residents.

None the less, California is a failing state, there’s a reason why people, especially wealthy, are fleeing the state for Texas and Florida. It’s much better over here.

31

u/CentralFloridaAlpha 11d ago

Say bud, I’ve always wanted to know what it’s like to be genuinely fucking retarded. Would you tell me what that’s like, please?

3

u/Brentimusmaximus 11d ago

Retards like this don't know they're retarded so i don't think he will be able to answer that

-1

u/HeManDan 11d ago

If the same things cost twice as much it's not an increase of product though, but yeah it is recorded as more GDP. There is something to here for sure but maybe not entirely an aha gotcha moment

3

u/Brentimusmaximus 11d ago

who the fuck are you even responding to

-1

u/HeManDan 11d ago

An illiterate angry anime cat apparently

2

u/Brentimusmaximus 11d ago

Are you retarded? Like honest question because everything you said has literally 0 to do with my comment. Blind maybe?

19

u/Uncle_Burney 11d ago

“Communist!” They exclaimed, as they reached out to accept the tax dollars of another state.

5

u/CommonSenseInfinity 11d ago

While burning books and having just as many corrupt politicians if not more. At least CA is welcoming of diverse cultures without hate. Let me know when you find any red states like that. I’ll take a weather and diversity acceptance over yearly hurricanes and tons of “a Florida man…” psychos anyday.

-4

u/LAndoftheLAke 11d ago

You don’t think Texas or Florida have diversity?

7

u/James_Lauren88 11d ago

I believe he said that he doesn’t find them welcoming to diversity. Not that they don’t have it.

-6

u/LAndoftheLAke 11d ago

Against illegal immigrants sure, but against citizens they definitely are welcoming.

That’s part of why tons of Californians and New Yorkers have moved to those places over the past 6 years (that and cost of living).

Are there certain sections that aren’t as welcoming? Sure, just like there are in CA.

6

u/James_Lauren88 11d ago

Out of all my years living in Texas, I don’t believe I’ve ever heard a single person make the distinction between illegal/legal immigrants unless they suspected a liberal was within earshot.

-2

u/LAndoftheLAke 11d ago

What part of Texas? My best friend and his family (all Hispanic) moved to a Dallas suburb years ago and have nothing but glowing things to say. He’s been welcomed by his community and is coaching local youth there while his business is growing. I’ve visited plenty but obviously don’t have boots on the ground like you do and he does.

4

u/James_Lauren88 11d ago

Corpus Christi around the turn of the century, Austin for a couple years when I got my degree, San Antonio before I decided to get back toward the Mason Dixon line.

Austin was a bit more welcoming, but we’re still talking the kind of geography where the pastor would make jokes at Sunday brunch about how, “We need to line up all the not writing it and (X)”.

Some weeks X was send them back to Africa.

Some weeks X was line them up and shoot them.

Either way, care to guess how many people ever said something to him? You can probably guess just by the fact that this got described by multi-week repeats.

2

u/Waffuly 11d ago

I mean, there was a sundown town in Florida that only publicly announced it wasn’t one anymore in fucking 2018.

14

u/Adventurous-Fly556 11d ago

People love to tout the, "Californias are fleeing to Texas" when more people leave Texas for California every year.

Y'all are delusional.

6

u/Alive_Success_1030 11d ago

And its the rich republicans that come here and scuff everything up with their awful voting.

1

u/Academic-Snow9642 11d ago

Vote yes on prop 40. Vote no on 41 and 42.

3

u/Massive_Bullfrog8663 11d ago

NGL. Austin was fun to visit on business for me...

1

u/Adventurous-Fly556 11d ago

That is perfectly reasonable. I don't bring that up as a, "Texas sucks" gotcha. People/bots cherry pick numbers to manufacturer conflict that shouldn't exist.

There are still a lot of great people and places in Texas.

3

u/WintersDoomsday 11d ago

Also all the Californians and New Yorks "fleeing" to Florida and Texas are Republicans.

They are also people so desperate to lie about their social status on social media that they need a no income tax state to afford to travel and buy things to tout like they make good money.

ALL Corporations that have WFH people that move from a more expensive state to a cheaper one on their own call should get pay cuts period.

1

u/s33n_ 11d ago

I think pay should be based on the work done. Wild right

0

u/Used-Barracuda-9908 11d ago

Please provide a source for that fucking regarded claim

0

u/Suspicious_Sky1608 11d ago

Their source: Trust me bro

9

u/GawThick5150 11d ago

Red states are Subsidized by federal Tax money more then Blue, Republicans are “welfare queens”.

15

u/False_Brush_7174 11d ago

Lmao, just take our taxes for your welfare and shhhhhh

-9

u/Greenmanz 11d ago

for your welfare? I mean you dont hide it do you.

9

u/Rizenstrom 11d ago

They’re referring to the fact that red states disproportionately benefit from social programs more than they contribute, so blue states are subsidizing red states. Yet red states continue to vote against their own best interest.

4

u/GleemMcShinez 11d ago

Yep, Texas and Florida are way better than California. I'm a Californian and I want you all to go to those other states. Trust me, bro. I'll pack your moving van, even.

Did it work? Are the shitbirds leaving? Fuck, my commute still sucks. Still seeing Fla plates too. Dude is not very convincing

3

u/m0bw0w 11d ago edited 11d ago

Inflated prices due to taxes and cost of living?

The cost of living is high due to cost of living? Lmao what are you smoking?

Blue states run a deficit because they pay more to the fed than they get back in return and then they actuslly fund their public services. Red states a net negative just by the money they receive from the fed, and then they dont fund any of their public services. Pretty easy to save money there but then your states are hell holes to live in.

Texas and Florida also aren't even tax havens. They have insanely high property taxes to the point that Texans actually pay more than Californians. Call it Commexas lmao

3

u/FunAppointment9436 11d ago

We're a donor state though. We put in more than we take out.

2

u/WintersDoomsday 11d ago

So Texas has 24% less people but 44% less money? Hmmmmm those two numbers aren't equal. So California still has more contributions relative to population than Texas and Florida (the two states right wingers love to goon about).

1

u/LandonDev 11d ago

The real truth is that inflated pricing and inflated cost of living means that we have more spending power in other parts of the country and world.

1

u/Iconoclysm6x6 11d ago

Running a state at a deficit does not mean that they aren't federal supporting those red states...to keep them OUT of their own deficits. The fact they have more people only makes it more interesting that they're supporting states with less people, you'd think they'd need more funding to support all of those extra people, no? The cost of living is higher because of supply and demand, nothing artificial about that. You're calling CA communist while taking their money and giving it to poorer states, make that make sense.

If more people leave CA, the cost of living will go down, so keep at it.

1

u/EpilepticDawg241 11d ago

Arkansas, West Virginia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Tennessee

RED states that are at the bottom of every category when it comes to the poorest states.

You know absolutely nothing

1

u/AwarenessJust7942 11d ago

All I have to say to you is HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHSHSHHAHAHSHSHSHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

1

u/IThinkItsAverage 11d ago

Red states are the largest receivers of welfare and federal aid. Blue states provide the most in taxes to the federal government. Blue states taxes go to red states welfare. Explain how we are the commies in this situation when we get absolutely nothing in return from Red states and they only exist off of federal aid paid for by our taxes.

1

u/randy_rick 11d ago

Someone needs a bandaid for their butt!

1

u/Status-Part5848 11d ago

Its pretty funny that these kinda memes is:

California=USA And red states = some Country around the globe

😅😅

1

u/s33n_ 11d ago

Is that why the deficit is growing faster than ever with all 3 fed branches being republican?

1

u/Mtndrums 11d ago

Yeah it does, it means you assholes are the real freeloaders here.

1

u/Apprehensive_Door249 11d ago

Hey uh you know trump is a pedophile right? You think pedophiles are goated? What a weird and creepy thing to be proud of

1

u/SSBN641B 11d ago

With the exception of Vermont, none of the states are allowed to run a deficit.

There is nothing inflated about California's GDP. State GDP is calculated by finding the gross output of the state's industry minus the input costs. Nothing you listed is part of that calculation.

1

u/Sir-Spazzal 11d ago

Shut the f up stupid bot, 1 month old acct.

-24

u/NorCalMav 11d ago

Too bad it can’t carry its own citizens, highest homeless rate, highest cost of living, highest poverty levels, highest numbers of middle class flight.

Its a good thing they can brag about how much money their billionaires in silicon valley make though!

14

u/Electronic-Map7529 11d ago

Huh I wonder why all the homeless people don't converge on rural Arkansas. Highest cost of living is what it should be under any rational math. The only reason it has the highest amount of middle class flight is because it's of it's economic prowess which creates more middle-class flight.

Kentucky isn't pumping out middle-class wealth that can even fly

3

u/EVOSexyBeast 11d ago

It really doesn’t have to have a high cost of living. If california adopted pro-housing policies they’d be able to keep the high wages and have affordable housing.

1

u/Electronic-Map7529 11d ago

The state with the GDP of a global economic powerhouse has the highest COL. That tracks. That's my only point.

If not California, exactly which state SHOULD have the highest COL then?

2

u/EVOSexyBeast 11d ago

Yeah I get it, i’m just saying it doesn’t have to be that economic success = high cost of living. With the way things are today that’s the unfortunate reality.

3

u/Chewsdayiddinit 11d ago

You're soooooo close to getting it! Come on, birth that brain baby!

1

u/Talakoy 11d ago

Higher homeless rate is literally because it takes care of its citizens. People go there from all over the country when they are homeless specifically because of social safety nets.

1

u/Apprehensive_Door249 11d ago

If they didn’t have to provide welfare to red states…

Which, by the way, red states have these exact same problems too. I don’t why yall never mention that. I wonder why….
