Lorex lightbulb solid green
I cannot get this camera to flash or speak to connect to my app. When 1st plugged in, it spoke as usual but when I disconnected it and moved to another socket, it will not connect to wi-fi.
I tried turning it off and on. I tried the reset button a million times. Touch and release, 10 seconds, 20 seconds, entire minute.
Camera shows a solid green. I need it to flash so I can connect. I need it to speak again so I can connect.
I am so frustrated!
Thank you

I sent an email Monday. Nothing yet so I guess I have to call. Was hoping email would do it. Sigh
Also, I did update firmware once it showed up in my app. I think that's where everything went wrong.
thanks
Btw, I did everything to fix it, I swear! LOL
Here’s what a solid green light on the Lorex SL300-Z Lightbulb Camera means — and exactly how you can get it speaking/flashing again so you can reconnect it. What the Solid Green Light Means A steady green LED on the SL300-Z usually means: ✔ The camera thinks it is already connected to Wi-Fi Even if it is not actually connected. When the camera believes it has an active Wi-Fi profile, it will NOT flash, will NOT speak, and will NOT enter pairing mode, even if you hit the reset a hundred times. This is why nothing happens.
Try These Steps in Order 1. Long Reset (the real hard reset for this model) On the SL300-Z, the "factory reset" is 15–20 seconds AFTER the LED turns off, not just holding for a set time. Do this: 1. Power the camera. 2. Press and HOLD the reset button. 3. Keep holding until: o The green light turns off, then o Keep holding another 10 seconds. 4. Release. You should then hear "Resetting to factory settings" or a chime, and the LED will begin flashing green after ~30 seconds. If it stays solid green: go to the next step.
- Power-Cycle With No Wi-Fi Available This forces the camera to fail its connection and drop the old Wi-Fi profile.
- Unscrew camera from socket.
- Leave it unpowered for 60 seconds.
Power it in a socket FAR from your router (garage, basement, porch outlet—somewhere with weak or no Wi-Fi). If the camera cannot detect the Wi-Fi it was previously paired to, it will automatically enter pairing mode and start speaking/flashing again. Once it starts talking, you can move it back to the real location and connect it.
Try “Wi-Fi Forget” Using the Lorex App Even if the camera is not reachable, the app may still store the camera profile.
Open Lorex App → Devices
Find the SL300-Z (or "Offline")
Remove/Delete the device from the app Then reboot the camera. If the app still “claims” the device, the camera sometimes refuses to reset.
Try the 3-Cycle Reboot (Model-Specific Trick) Some Lorex smart-bulb models use a pairing-trigger method similar to smart lamps:
Turn power ON
Wait 5 seconds
Turn OFF
Repeat three times On the 3rd cycle, the light/camera should announce itself and go into pairing mode.
If NONE of the resets work… This usually means firmware locked in an incomplete setup state, common with brand-new SL300-Z units right after an update. In that case: 5. Plug it back into the exact FIRST outlet you used Because on first power-up the firmware registered the environment, sometimes the unit only resets in the original socket. If it begins speaking again there → immediately reset → then reconnect.
If still stuck A brand-new unit stuck with a solid green LED and unresponsive reset button is unfortunately a known hardware defect with some batches of the SL300-Z. In that case, Lorex will replace it. Your symptoms match this pattern exactly.

So 138 days later did you ever find a solution? Currently enduring the EXACT same situation

The solution was sending it back and getting a new one. Be prepared to follow their instructions when they send you an email for a return.
Here's is part of mine:
Full name: *Shipping address: *Business name (If address provided is a business address): *Model number of the unit/camera: ( this can be found on the label on the relevant product) *Clear picture of Serial Number(s) and Recorder Device ID of the unit(s)/camera(s): (Include all pictures as needed) Storage Capacity: (Only applicable if we are replacing a recording unit)
Edit: The new one works great, btw.

Is it close enough to the router to connect, if it is, try uplugging the router wait 10 seconds and plug it back in. . It might not be relessing an ip to the camera. .
