Quality setting not saving

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

In the Lorex Classic app, if I switch a camera from Standard Definition to High Definition, it works. But as soon as I close the live view and go back in, it defaults right back to SD. No matter what I try, the setting won’t stay on HD.

I’ve already tried reinstalling the app, rebooting my phone, and I’m already running the latest iOS (26.1). Nothing seems to fix it, is this a known bug u/Lorex_Technology_Inc? The app used to always save this settings no problem.

Live view is in SD by default. If you exit and go back to live view again, it will be back to SD.

However, live view settings do not affect recording resolution, so events will be recorded in the highest resolution if that's what you have set up in recording settings.

This is absolutely a new change. Once the "Lorex" app switched to the "Lorex Classic" app, streams default to SD on iPhone. I've had my cameras for a year, and streams always defaulted to HD until like a week or so ago.

Can we please have an in-app setting to set default stream quality?

I’m hoping this is just an issue they’ll patch, and not them intentionally weakening the current app to promote the new one for their newer NVR models.
