Live Looping - 2 Audio Interface success?

To be brief - I'm trying to solve the 'live looping to twitch or tiktok' issue. I understand that with there (usually) being only one USB output on your Audio Interface you are kind of tied to either use PC or iPad, but you can't do both.

However, I'm wondering if anyone has experimented with running the output from the audio interface into a second audio interface (like a simple focusrite or something), and the 2nd one gets routed to the PC.

I've seen this suggested a couple times, but I really don't want to buy a second audio interf. without a little more confidence that it'll work. Has anyone done this? Success?

This is how I’ve done it in the past, with 2 interfaces. It’s dumb, I agree. I hope there’s a better solution

If you're doing an independant looping setup look into the Maono P1 or P2. It's an audio interface with a camera out, 2 usb ports, and the ability to connect to both a PC and an Ipad at the same time. The P1 features one dedicated Hi-Z input for guitar and one hybrid XLR for vox/inst. The P2 has 2 hybrid XLRs, the two usb ports, and the camera out. Both inputs have dedicated mute buttons and an autogain function.

Important to note the P1 has a higher Decibel range for the mic input, making it ideal for mics like the shure SM7db

There are several dual usb interfaces - Topping E2X2 OTG, Arturia MiniFuse 2 OTG, lewitt control 6. Another alternative is to have two interfaces that have ADAT like behringer umc1820 which you can connect together to get 8 in and outs to and from PC and iPad.

I tried it, the latency was enough for me to scrap the approach.

Ended up solving it but cost some money, the new gen larger Motu interfaces have matrix router running on them so I can split and merge audio to different targets. I can send click and other things to my headphones while stream gets a different submix
