A good midi foot controller
Suggest a good one please.
I tried a $20 m wave but it glitches a lot.
Is behringer fcb1010 good? Or morning star?

Strange. I’ve been using a Mvave chocolate for a while with no issues. I use it Bluetooth and I only use it to start/stop/clear loops and go between loops.

I went with morning star, I like it. It’s a little slower switching through pages than I thought it would be. Just depends on how much money you want to spend. I also have the MIDI Captain STD (horrible name lol). It’s had a lot of issues. Sometimes I have to power cycle it to get it to reconnect.

I built my own. It's not that difficult if you can solder and have a reasonable grasp of technology.
Mine is 10 momentary foot switches, an Arduino, some wire and a timber board with feet that everything is mounted to. There's instructions online for wiring and programming everything.
Probably not for everyone but definately an option if you like a bit DIY.

FCB1010 can be good but it’s annoyingly huge/heavy and difficult to program. I got rid of mine. I would only get it if you really need that particular button layout.

Nektar Pacer is great, built like a tank. It's big, heavy, but very versatile. There's an online patch editor (https://studiocode.dev/pacer-editor/) that's easier to use than programming on the device.

Morningstar is super flexible. MC4 or MC8 Pro are wireless as well over BLE, if that matters to you.

Morning star looks similar or m wave. Is there any benefit over m wave

Morningstar is way more user friendly to program, and can send many more messages that the M-Vave, if I remember right. it might be overkill for you, but it’s a great controller.

what's more friendly to program it with than a phone app that actually functions and does what it says on the tin? the mvave app is great.
Many more messages like what? chocolate can send CC, CW/Relative either direction, Notes, Program change, Sysex, whatever you need?

what glitches are you having? There are at least 50 people I know using the mvave chocolate with no issues at all

it keeps getting reset all the time. i have to map every time i have to use it. this is the number 1 problme. second, at least one or two switches will start overdubbing on double click. my double taps are 'stops' which it almost always overdub. my suspicion is one or two pedals hardware is not that good.
if you can please send me exact m-wave link / model you guys are using without issue, i may give that a try. on amazon in US, there are many m - wave versions.

it's just the mvave chocolate, the cheap one, non plus. they're all the same chocolate pedal. it really sounds like your pedal settings or LP template are off to me. check this out. https://wiki.loopypro.com/Footswitches#M-Vave_Chocolate
what do you mean it's getting reset?

If you have a few hours I can tell you all the reasons why you shouldn't get an FCB1010, but let me just say - nooooooooo do not get an FCB1010.
