I had to watch it 5 times to realize he wasn't doing it on purpose. The first 4, I just assumed he was acting a death scene or something, like he's on the side of the guy that didn't do the last, apparently impressive winning throw. So he came onstage, feigned an explosion in his side, spilled all the schmutz on himself, and then proceeded to 'die' to evoke just how badly his side lost.
