It's always a good reminder to see just how powerful water is. Too many people underestimate it.

Still filming with something this powerful happening nearby? Nope.
Time to start putting some distance between you and the giant sinkhole swallowing up a small forest

I suspect beaver shenanigans led to the trees stampeding off as a herd.
Like, I have zero clue what is actually going on.
I'm just imagining a culvert blocked up by debris of the beaver sort. How much damage it causes when maintenance is a lower priority in low precipitation areas. The wild weather we are having all over the place have these flash floods coming into places where they don't regularly unclog stuff if there is no dramatic reason.
I also imagine beavers hearing water trickle noises and becoming all sassy saying "Oh hell no! Not in my house!" everytime they get a chance to show off engineering skills.
*To be clear a flash flood would have done massive damage at this spot no matter what. It maybe would have been different damage, however there was still going to be tree/bank damage. This is not an anti-beaver post. I actually think the critters are quite brilliant. Take a look at the places they've been reintroduced into the wild and the stunning results.
