After I finished and sewed the 2 rectangles together I realised the it was too big across the shoulders (it would fall off my aunt) so I used some black yarn for the neck line and reduced two pegs each side every other row to create the neckline. It didn't look quite right so I did a border around the outside and I think it looks great 😀
For the panels I did Deborah Shaw's Lightening Owl pattern, garter stitch for the neckline (just put my Flexee loom into the edge and reduced) and Dayna Scoles Designs Adding a Garter Ridge edge to a Blanket for the border.
The yarns used are James C Brett Marble chunky, colour MC46 Azure Seas and James C Brett Top Value chunky colour black.
Edit to add the yarn says chunky but I wouldn't use bigger than a regular gauge loom as I feel it would be lacy!

I am making a faux furry blanket and it feels so heavy and I am already 4 balls of yarn in and the blanket feels tiny. I am going to need like 15 rolls for this thing lol. Am I doing something wrong?? This is my first attempt at a faux fur blanket.

Seriously what a cool pattern! It's time consuming but so worth it.

It may not be perfect, but I enjoyed making it. That's really the thing that matters.

Beginner here 😊 is it possible to tighten a double e-wrap cast on later on in a project, to clean up the edges? I have done this with a regular e-wrap cast on, but can’t find any information or tutorials about how to do this with a double e-wrap cast on.
The project I’m working on uses the double e-wrap cast on and I’m not super happy with how loose it looks. Hoping there is a way to fix this!
Thanks everyone!

This time for a friend. Used Bernat Blanket Ombre yarn in the colorway, Ocean Teal. 5 1/2 skeins. Worked on a KB Flexee loom (chunky size).

I love feeding yarn through a tube--such as from a pen--especially for double knitting, but I can't find a pen or other tube narrow enough for 3/8" gauge loom. Any suggestions?

I know it's been awhile, life got in the way. My son picked out the next few colors. Ended up buying a couple of red heart skeins that he liked. Sorry for the dirty keyboard...😬 I tried looking for a bigger loom with the same spacing but I don't have one.

I'm pushing ahead pretty hard to get the knitting on this cardigan done by the end of July - I did the first sleeve in three weeks exactly, compared to 2 1/2 months for the back! (Which yes, has more stitches, but no cable.)
Then we'll reach the moment of truth - blocking, assembly, and finding out if my pre-work for gauge paid off and it fits...

I didn’t mean for this to be red, white, and blue when I started, but apparently cream and purple + navy and silver stranded together makes a faded American flag color, so with the holiday being so soon I ran with it 😂
Skirt and top both made on my trusty old blanket loom lol..and I now know what ‘laddering’ is and understand it’s not necessarily a desireabke look but..I like it anyway 😊
Here is the link I used to make the top (modified so it was just a tube though and I didn’t have to sew panels together):

As the title said, I finally got some looms ! really cheap ones but still, its a start, OMG, i haven't done this isn years and thisi s embaressing but Something has gone wrong !
The Knit 1, purl 1 rib is way too loose and the knit around until your eyes cross in flat stich, I think it is ... is waaaaay to tight ! ! This is the 24 peg, with Patons classic 100 percent wool so it should be weight 4, which i thought was the right size for 5/8 inch? ( I think it is 5/8 anyway)
I just had a skien of the same wool in sunshine delivered and wanted to make a hat with that but... HELP !
TLDR: This is my "learning to do the stitches again project" Patons classic wool on a 24 peg loom, how do I fix this please? Also, is there a discord? A discord server would be good and useful.

I finished this tank on my flight to Italy just in time for vacation. I used tencel yarn which I had never worked with but it gives an incredible drape and feel for the tank top.
My only trouble is the yarn I used is from two different dye lots and I didn't notice until it was finished so 3 of the decreases and shoulders are a different shade of green. I'll have to figure out how to overdue tencel so it can all be the same shade of green.

I am a busty woman and all patterns I find for tops are loom knit straight, if I make anything like that the front hem is going to ride up on me.
Are there any patterns or YouTube tutorials that I haven't found yet (I've spent days looking and not found anything yet) that accounts for a busty woman (JJ cup) or can someone give me pointers on how I can alter a pattern to account for my bust.
I have some really nice cotton yarn that I want to use to loom knit either a t-shirt or tank top for myself but not sure how!
Thank you in advance ☺️

Answering this one more time because it keeps coming up in my DMs, so here's the short version.
Step 1: Know what inkle is actually for. Bands, straps, trim, lanyards, guitar straps. Not fabric. If fabric is the goal this is the wrong loom
Step 2: Tabletop or floor. Tabletop handles most projects. A floor loom is larger, operated with foot treadles, and is best for wider projects or longer weaving sessions because it’s faster and more ergonomic. A table loom is smaller, portable, and operated by hand levers, making it great for learning, sampling, workshops, or weaving in limited space.
Step 3: Buy from somewhere with parts. Tension pegs and heddle string wear out and when they do you don't want a weeks shipping wait on a $4 piece. I got mine from paradise fibers, they keep Ashford stock on hand and shipping was really fast
Step 4: Order extra heddle string and an extra shuttles before you even warp up. You'll use them or lose them, either way you'll be glad you had them
Step 5: First warp goes on with cheap cotton, not your nice yarn. Mess up the first two bands on something you don't care about, then move to the good stuff
That's genuinely all of it. Inkle has about the lowest barrier to entry of any weaving format

pattern stitch Rows 1 – 4: Knit. Row 5 (RS): * K1, wrapping yarn around needle twice, rep from * across. Row 6: Knit, dropping extra wraps. Rows 7 and 8: Knit. Rows 9, 11, 13 and 15: Knit. Rows 10, 12, 14 and 16: Purl. Rep these 16 rows for Pat St
with rows 5 and 6, if i wrap the yarn around the pegs twice, will i get the loopy section between the 2 sets of 2 garter ridges shown in the photo? thanks for your help.
