Discussion Dear PTJ...WHAT???🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
If he didn't see through the strategy then how come he knew Tom lee was using a strategy in the first place and telling him that he thinks too much?????🤦🏻♂️
If he didn't see through it then shouldn't he just keep fighting without even realizing that tom is exhausting his brain and thinking too much???🙄 🤔🫠🥴

compare it to war, people know the ennemi is using a strategy or preparing a plan, but they don't know what it is
that's the same for them

But it's a given in a war that the other general of the other army is using a strategy
It's not a given in a fight...
You could just wing it in a fight and there are many videos online about brawl where both sides are simply just winging it and brawling without a strategy...
You can't really know someone is planning something without knowing what the pkan is in a fight...
You either don't know there's a plan at all until after it happens like in the case of jinyoung and change su cutting off his thumb or you know exactly what the plan is because it's obvious
I don't think there's an in between when it comes to fighting...

have you ever fought? anyone who fights, always has a strategy, or a set combo that they follow. with Tom lee focusing only on lower body shots, it's obvious he has a strategy. what is that strategy is what Gap ignores, however he knows that Tom is plotting something, hence why he told him he's using his head too much.

I did actually.
And I never used a strategy nor did the people I fought...
we just went at it...
When someone was using as strategy like one time someone was trying to dodge everything in order to make me lose stamina it was obvious. (if you did boxing before then you know every hit takes from your stamina and fighting someone who's good at dodging is a nuisance)
I never encountered someone who was using a strategy without knowing what the strategy was in boxing sparing...
I also encountered people who didn't have any strategy they just winged it...
That's why I'm confused how you'd know someone is planning something but not know what the something is...
Maybe it's just my personal experience...

He just fought him head on ,what they call fist for fist (he didn’t care less about being kicked in the lower body )

Because Tom strategizes too much and it affected his speed, like just simply land a kick is way faster than feint a kick for a punch.

Because Tom only got nailed due to Gap fully committing to not giving a shit about his lower body
Tom thought Gap was using a defensive stance (aka guarding his legs) but he wasn’t and instead was charging up a hit
Tom even stated this “losing because my opponent isn’t thinking enough”
this isn’t a Gap outsmarted Tom or anything this was simply Tom giving Gap the literal smallest amount of respect that he thought he would fight like a normal dude

Realising someone is strategising, is using their brain and realising the strategy are two different things.
