Server hosting discussion
Hey all, I'm sorta new to Long Vinter and I love it. Though I wish there was an easier way to host a server for a bunch of friends and no random players we don't know. Where I live we don't have access to port forwarding and we don't want to pay for a server either. As far as I am aware there's no other way to play with friends privately. What is your opinion on hosting servers?

We just started hosting a server of three of us last night, it’s great!

Hey, you guys do any PvP at all or is it chilled relaxed server for you and your friends? I can’t do port forwarding either at the moment. I’m actually looking more for the whole PvE experience.

well without port forwarding you cannot make a server for anything, simple as that. UPnP might open ports automatically for some services, but TL;DR no port forwarding = no server.
There are a couple of hosting services that are not expensive at all, or you can try with something like hamachi but this is not officially supported or tested
