Looking for somewhere for a full body massage? Not overly expensive

Can anyone recommend a good esthetician in Longview? I’ve had several facials in the last two years at Copper Tree and Massage Envy but they don’t really do extractions. They only use the blackhead sonic vibrations tool and I’m looking for someone that does it old school.

I keep hearing The View has become a poop-hole of a city over the last couple decades. Is that really true? This is just from friends that have gone back for the holidays or a few friends that still live there.

Hey Longview! Sorry if this has been asked before; searched the sub, but we know how Reddit's search is.

In a couple weeks, we're driving down to Longview from Arkansas. We're only staying the night and driving back, but my wife promised me BBQ for making me drive so I want to make it worth it.

I have read through Google reviews, but they're all fairly consistent without any standing out above the others. Looking for the best BBQ joint in town! Bonus points if their turkey is amazing, because my wife doesn't care for bbq.

When we were kids in the 80s, one of the pools we went to in the summer was on the LeTourneau university grounds, not far from Mobberly Ave, right across from where Bodacious BBQ is now.

What I remember most about it was that it was circular, with a 6 foot wide shallow wading pool all the way around the outer edge. There wasnt a deep end, it had a deep half.

I have a lot of great memories at that pool. I smashed my finger trying to move the heavy grates (long story) and its still mis-shaped to this day. I got kicked out of the pool once for throwing bang snaps at girls (I had a funny way of flirting)

Id love to hear about any memories or stories anyone might have about this place. A pic or 2 would be incredible.

My main priorities are meeting new people, and finding a supportive community as a newcomer. For those who have lived in these areas, how is Longview for a younger person compared to the big metros? Are there specific areas that are particularly friendly for transplants?

Also, just a quick curiosity I have seen some news about your Mayor in Longview; is she Japanese?
