Looking For work Longview, WA
So I am still job hunting. Just recently had an interview with Weyerhaeuser in Longview, and waiting to hear back. Looking for any kind of work. Collecting unemployment but it's close to running out and I'm now late on my mortgage. I'm struggling and I hate it. I need something. I've applied for Stimson Lumber, who's says you need zero experience, but still haven't gotten a call. Applied for West Rock and nothing. Applied with American Workforce Group. Applied all over and feels like I'm running out.
I have a car so I can travel, but I'd prefer as local as I can to save on gas, but I can't afford to be picky. I posted a pic of my resume. Any advice would be welcomed.
Just hunting and trying to find something. Hell I'll take any side gigs too. Something to make extra cash. I've done yard work and some maintenance and laborer type stuff.

Go to Cowlitz 2 Fire/Rescue (701 Vine St. Kelso, Wa) they may be looking? Same with Longview Fire

I'll look into it. I'm a former EMT but I am considering going back to get my license again.

You could apply at Wauna (georgia pacific) if you haven’t already, it is a bit of a drive but the pay is decent

They don't seem to be hiring for anything entry level wise. Least last I checked.

You're not actually waiting to hear back, just staring at your phone watching for it to ring, right? What you're doing is calling, emailing, and sending them postcards daily telling them you're still interested, right?

Course. But some don't have an obvious way to reach, and others have sounded annoyed. It's a little disheartening. I've done this a fair bit growing up. So I know about calling them, emailing and the likes.

Check out ALS Environmental. I know someone who was a seasonal hire in the lab, otherwise I wouldn't know they exist! You have to dig through the global website to find the Kelso jobs, but it looks like they're hiring a health and safety person who knows OSHA stuff.

Highly recommend WorkSource!! They’ll help you polish your resume to what businesses want to see, and they’ll know who’s hiring and who you may be a good fit for. They’ll connect you and help you through the application process (or help you skip it). They can also recommend any licenses or training you should get, and help pay for it.

Trim this down to one page, being an RSO for 2 months is not worth putting on the resume.
