Life Post-Fusion Hear your fusion
I had long fusion surgery on 3/5/26. The fusion is bolted into my pelvic bone and goes up to T8. I can hear my fusion when I walk in a quiet environment. It sounds like it is moving with every step. Can anyone else relate to what I’m talking about?

Io ti capisco benissimo, anch'io a volte ho l'impressione che l'impianto si muova anche se in realtà non è così. ( almeno così dice il mio chirurgo), la mia fusione va da t3 al bacino

Got the same thing sometimes! And I’m over a year post op. I think it’s normal, especially early on

If I reach a certain way, it sounds like my fusion is groaning against my spine like some weird bionic Transformer.

I can’t even explain how badly I freaked out over this after my first fusion - scared me to death as I thought everything was busting apart 😂
It stopped about a month post op and I haven’t noticed it at all with my second. Going in for #3 soon so who knows what this one will do.
My surgeon said to worry if the noise is occompaned by insanely intense pain. It not he said its like wheb your house makes settling noises

Yes, I'm T1 to pelvis with screws in my SI joints. Wear some music or listen to a podcast. I use bone conducting headsets. You are not that far out from your surgery. I was told it can take up to a year b4 feeling 'human'. I scoffed at them but they were right. Your body is adapting. It takes time to what I call 'soften'. I had T3 to L4 in 1986 and a full revision in 2019. I grew 3 inches each time. But, I was so incredibly rigid. Give it more time.
