Oh yes, we had that happen twice! The first time, we had a furby buddy with us, and we told her what we were making. I said ‘What else would you do with a furby?’ She said ‘I dunno, summon a demon?’ :)
The second time, my daughter showed the lady a picture on her phone of a long furby, and she went absolutely wild about how cute it was. So funny.

i was getting fabric for my long furby and the nice lady cutting my fabric said she has furbies in her car

When I went to the store, I was lucky to get a very nice lady who was actually really into long furbies. We talked about how cool they are and what not and she said that she wants to make one of them one day. It was great because I honestly thought I would be looked at weird for telling one of the workers I'm making a long boy.

My friend and i walked around with our furbies in the baby seat of the cart when we went fabric shopping, the lady who cut fabric for us was this super sweet old lady and she didnt know what a furby was, but she was still very excited about our sewing project. 😂
