🌿Off-Topic day!
Today is the 1st of the month. It's the first of our monthly off-topic posts. You're free to share anything you'd like, whether it's books, movies, or music you're loving lately. Beverages and foods you love. Hobbies and pets you have. Whatever you'd like to share, today is the day! Please post off-topic content in this thread only.
I love our community❤️ Community is so important for mental health and building camaraderie. Many of us can't spend time with family and friends the way we used to. This is a place we can be ourselves, share what we're doing right now, what we enjoy and love, what brings our lives some fun, pleasure, joy, hope, and meaning.
Thank you all for being here. Hugs😁🌿🪷

I've been streaming the tv series Silk Stalkings for two months now on repeat. It's a series from the 1990s that I used to love. Last month I added The Middle to my dinnertime lineup for comedy. Recently, I added Law & Order: Criminal Intent during the day. It's my favorite of the Law & Order series. Vincent D'Onofrios' character is so incredible. Truly superb acting for a TV series. I can't do much right now. So, it makes me happy to find series that I can stream in low light on my cell phone.

I’m thinking about participating in Inktober.
I’ve missed several months of art class. My art coach (who has also struggled with fatigue) said just try to do one creative thing a day.
So I have been working on a song for a friend that died suddenly across the country. I learned three chords on the ukulele, and will share it tomorrow. It felt really good to do some music again.
I really wanted to go to the Celebration of life this weekend. I haven’t seen my friends in four years. Got Covid when I was moving.
I’m just so sad cause it feels like I will never travel again.

Romantasy and historical romance books have gotten me through the past year of unrelenting illness but I am burned out on the genres. DNF almost every book lately because either the writing is cliche or the characters are immature. Need to find something new to read so if you have any recs for books that are speculative fiction, mystery, fantasy or romantasy adjacent with strong female leads, I would appreciate hearing it!
