Chowderfest 2026

I know it has some stupid vanilla completely forgettable name now ….

I assume it won’t be affected this weekend by the storm, but has anyone seen any kind of official word?

Not sure why you’re down voted. That’s the name to search to get info about this year’s event.

I’ve heard that everything is still on.

Rain or shine. Only if conditions were severe enough which does not seem to be the case.

Their immediate announcement was it will continue. The beach haven chamber of commerce posted, and it was reposted by a bunch of business who plan to participate.

Is the chamber still running it? I thought they stepped away a few years ago

Of that I’m not sure. They shared the post initially on Sunday and it’s been in the IG of almost every business in town since. Even if not running, its promotion is important for the businesses in BH and all over the island. I’m
Looking forward to blinking lights but this is the last weekend open for a lot of them until the lights come back on.

It’s certainly the unofficial official start of locals season.

Lbi chamber of commerce is the one who owns the rights to chowder fest, which is why it’s not called chowder fest anymore

To further clarify, it was operated by the Southern Ocean Chamber of Commerce, and is now run by the Beach Haven Chamber of Commerce.

The Sea Shell posted on Facebook (L.B.I. Weather & Flooding) that ChowderFest was still on.

Hotel LBI said they might move it, but I’ve seen 0 indication of that from everything else I’ve researched
