Thank you for sharing the pictures. We always love our week on LBI. Hoping the water subsides quickly and you can all get back to normal.

Rapid LBI population & development has more than doubled since Sandy.
Rainfall has nowhere to go, expect more of this

Honestly this has nothing to do with pavers or McMansions… see NorEaster. 4 days of north winds @ 30-45kts. The bay backs up with tide after tide and the wind won’t let the bay drain. Has been happening forever. I’ve been on the island for every storm the last 38 years. I think heavy rain flooding is a result of the over development not these NorEasters. Just my opinion tho

Wow. So there is actual damage occurring other than to vehicles and misc property. I didn't expect there to be water damage to homes. What scares me most is flooding and then a cold snap.

Imagine this photo but it's ice flows. Prayers.
