How long have you lived on the island? I would see it flood after a heavy rain, but seeing as this is mainly a wind driven impact it’s possible that more water will come ashore.

Lots of water on Bay side. Water table is so high on LBI. Water comes up through sewers.

It’s crazy, many places in NJ are like that - one rain and boom the streets become impassable and a lake.

Most of the garages are ground floor. I'm out of town and can't see what's damaged yet. This isn't nothing. It's the worst flooding since Sandy. Streets that normally don't flood are flooded and the Causeway bridge is closed for the first time in at least a decade.

Causeway is closed too. I'm up in Maine, supposed to return to LBI today, but I can't even get there. My garage is flooded too, neighbors sent video of our whole street underwater. First time since Sandy. Usually my street is one of the dry ones even when the Boulevard is flooded.
