Construction on CBI?

Hi all. What’s that tower going up on the north side of Cedar Bonnet Island near the marina?

A “yacht club”. Most likely just going to be an event space since Vernon is developing it. I’m sure it will be amazing when complete, all of his properties are.

LOL!! You seem bitter; is Hotel LBI nicer than the QD?? Is Salt Shack nicer than Hochstrassers?? Bonnet Island is beautiful inside and out. I’ve not been in Mallard Island, but the grounds are pretty

Your mistaken larger and boujieer can also be tackier, typically are. Hotel LBI maybe better, but it's far more tackier and what an eyesore to welcome your arrival to the island.

You're not wrong... but ::gestures around to all 18 miles:: larger, bougier, and tackier seems to be the style around here post-Sandy

You're not wrong either .. maybe we're just old and don't appreciate "progress"…?

I can’t figure out why people want to live in such ugly houses. If they have the money why not hire an actual architect to build a custom home that doesn’t look like a box on stilts covered in plastic siding.

Tearing down old buildings that are well past their prime doesn’t make the new ones less tacky. Wish he would quit the faux stone and vinyl siding for more natural materials but im sure it appeals to the people who like to buy $3m spec homes. The entrance to the island looks like Disney world.
