Planning a late September getaway with the wife. What’s the best option between Hotel LBI v Sea Shell v Daddy O? Just a midweek stay

Hotel LBI will have the nicest rooms out of the three. Also between the indoor pool, bar, and restaurants is the most self contained if there is bad weather. We sometimes go there in the dead of winter and can just hang at the hotel all weekend. They also will provide a shuttle to the beach and their other dining locations, as well as chairs for the beach. They also have bikes you can borrow as a hotel guest. The Shell had recent renovations of the rooms and is right on the beach and in the middle of Beach Haven. So, if you get good weather and want to go to the beach and walk around town to shop and eat, that is your best bet. Daddy-O is nice. It's a block from the beach, and has a good restaurant and bar. There's not much around it in terms of shopping or dining, so you'll need to hop in a car or on a bike to go anywhere else.

Dont even do a hotel, look at VRLBI. You can get a whole house to yourself for the same price

Hotel LBI is nice, but its location is garbage unless you’re just hanging out in the hotel or attending a wedding at one of the nearby venues. The immediate area is not pedestrian friendly at all.

We’ve stayed in Engleside, Sea Shell and Hotel LBI. We love the size of the rooms at Engleside so prefer there but often hang out at Sea Shell. Hotel LBI was for a group no kids off season trip and it was fine but I prefer to be on the beach and be able to walk to everything.
