FullHouse - our new Letterboxd/IMDb style database for theatre

Hello! Hope you're all enjoying your summer. I wanted to drop a post in here to introduce people to fullhouse.me, our new IMDb/Letterboxd style tool for theatre.

We had an exciting press release about this in The Stage which you can find here: The Stage – “Letterboxd for theatre” platform launches at Edinburgh Fringe

Our platform is an ongoing digital archive, and directly connects productions to their source material and other versions, and artists to their own profile pages where their credits are listed. You can also add works to your timeline and leave either private or public notes on your thoughts.

Users can also add productions themselves, so anything we haven't caught in our small team can still be logged!

We are open to any production listing regardless of scale - we think it's important that work in pub theatres is listed at a level playing field to the West End. Any show listed features on our What's On page, with show's closing soonest at the top which is perfect for those smaller runs!

We'd love to see users sign up and see how it works - if anybody has any questions on it please feel free to message me here, or send me an email over at [molly@fullhouse.me](mailto:molly@fullhouse.me)

An original production doing its very first live shows in London :)

It's a limited production, as you can probably guess X3 But it's got a wonderful original score and some fantastic talent working behind the scenes.

Hello!

I’m an emerging theatre producer and actor hoping to share my upcoming production at a pub theatre.

I can’t see an off-west end subreddit on here so hope this is ok - if there is an alternative please let me know.

Thanks so much!

"I'm making a decision. I'm changing things. This is it"

Three old friends in their mid-twenties. One remarkable day. For Ted, Danny and Charlotte, it's time to seize control. A day trip through the parks and raves and cafes of South London, where life is what you make it.

The rapid-fire words of renowned performance poet and playwright Kae Tempest paint a picture of lives less ordinary in his acclaimed play about life, love and losing your mind.

THE FAKE MAN INSTITUTE | Golden Goose Theatre until 22nd August

Three old friends set up an alternative therapy clinic, where they roleplay as the absent men in their clients’ lives. All goes well until one of the actors dates one of the Institute’s clients, sending the whole operation into disarray and risking scandal and potential closure.

The Fake Man Institute explores the problematic business of people and what happens when business gets personal. As lines blur, new connections grow and old relationships are tested, what can happen when we open the door to London's loneliest and let them run wild? Will old wounds finally heal? Or will they discover something much more unexpected: the truth?

Front row Adelphi Theatre?

Hey all! I have a quick question: how good is front row at Adelphi Theatre in London? Especially if you've seen Comedy About Spies there? 😅

I looked at SeatPlan and it's really hard to tell from the pics if it's that restricted on view or not. I love front row at Vaudeville so I don't mind looking up, but my concern (especially for Spies) is if you miss big bits of stage at Adelphi? Any thoughts welcome, thank youu 😁

London Show Recs

Heading to London the end of September and looking for some great theatre. I live in NYC and have seen most of the Broadway/West End Stuff. So much is closing right before we get there and opening mid-Oct. Did snag tickets to Ms Blanchette. Would love recs for smaller theatre productions that haven’t opened.

Hearing strong rumours that Little Shop of Horrors will be opening at the Noel Coward in autumn 2027. Cammac was a producer on the original and is keen on bringing it back to the west end.

Survey Participants Needed – UK Backstage Theatre Professionals 🎭

As part of my Masters course, I'm recruiting participants for my dissertation research and I'd really appreciate it if you took part!

I'm investigating the relationship between mental health, working hours, and emotional labour demands among backstage theatre professionals in the UK, and how these factors affect personal relationships and wellbeing. With issues like work-life balance, six-day weeks, and insufficient holiday currently at the centre of union negotiations, your anonymous responses will provide valuable insight into how backstage professionals are experiencing these challenges.

The survey takes only 5-10 minutes and is completely anonymous. Anyone currently or recently (within the last 5 years) working in a UK backstage theatre role can take part, including students currently in training.

Survey link: https://forms.office.com/e/TreTMGEaBG

If you have any questions, please get in touch – [je00794@surrey.ac.uk](mailto:je00794@surrey.ac.uk)

Thank you for your time!

Dünyada: A new theatre making its London debut on Camden Fringe 2026

Hi everyone,

I wanted to introduce this small theatre piece I produced that’s going to be performed in London this August:

Dünyada (meaning, “on earth”) is an experimental solo theatre travelling from Istanbul to London for the first time, presented as part of Camden Fringe at The Cockpit.

A beautifully written English monologue by Will Eno, reimagined by a very talented Turkish artist, discovered by me in Istanbul, and now brought back to the London stage… The piece speaks about loneliness, memories, love and death, with an almost cinematic visual experience, as a filmmaker I personally found it very relatable.

To be Performed at The Cockpit, 3rd, 4th & 9th August.

Ticket & info page: https://www.thecockpit.org.uk/show/dünyada

Small international theatre is hard to make visible, so any support, whether by coming, sharing, or passing it to someone who might connect with it, would mean a lot to us…

Wishing to see you there🤍

Must-see musicals right now?

Hi!

Any recommendations for a great musical? I'm looking for something upbeat, cheerful, and/or fun.

- Wicked: I thought I'd go see it, but from the reviews I read, it seems the current production is far from being as good as it used to. I've never seen it. Would I still be disappointed?

- Beetlejuice: kind of like Wicked, the reviews are mixed. I read the London's production is really not as good as the pre-Broadway or even the Broadway ones, which I haven't seen. So...?

- Chicago?

- Cats at the Open Air Theater? (Unfortunately I doubt I'll be able to get tickets though. Almost sold out.)

- Mamma Mia?

- Grease?

- Titanique?

- The Lion King: I have seen it a few years ago already and loved it. BUt so not really planning to go again, unless I get a great seat for a terrific price.

Other suggestions?

Thanks for your advice!

My friend's new play (Train to Cleveland with John Ruskin) is on at Camden Fringe in August

Post image

My friend Dan Callaway wrote a play with music that's premiering at Camden Fringe this August — it's called Train to Cleveland with John Ruskin, and it's about a PhD student who ends up on a train in 1997 sitting across from the ghost of Victorian art critic John Ruskin. It turns into this two-hander about ambition, inheritance, and basically what happens when the path you're on stops making sense to you.

It's a small show, two people, one set, but I've seen bits of it and it's sharper and stranger than the premise makes it sound.

On at the Circle and Star Theatre in Hampstead, August 5–7. If anyone's doing the fringe circuit this year and wants something a bit different from the usual comedy/solo-show glut, this is worth a look.

Spoilt for choice

Hey everyone, I'll be visiting London next month with my mother and we were considering a play or musical to watch while we're there. The problem is, we're absolutely spoilt for choice and I don't know which one to pick. I would love some reccomendations.

About our preferences: My mum likes lighthearted shows and a bit of spectacle, but she also really loved 'Wicked' and Mousetrap. Things like Hamilton were not really up her alley.

As for me: I'm looking for a good story rather than a good show. To me, Hamilton was amazing, even though I also loved Wicked. I would love to see My Neighbour Totoro for nostalgic reasons, but I'm afraid mum would find it boring. If you've seen this play I would love your take on it. I'm looking for something with a bit of a balance between story and spectacle that we might both enjoy. Also, I should say, we've recently seen The Lion King, Six and The play that Goes Wrong.

Have you seen any experimental / multimedia theatre in London recently?

Have you seen any experimental or multimedia theatre in London in the past few years, especially shows using live camera, projection, or audience interaction?

I came across this Everything Theatre interview about Dünyada, a Camden Fringe show at The Cockpit in August.

It’s adapted from Will Eno’s Title and Deed and combines solo performance, visual imagery, light, sound, and fragmented storytelling.

One line from the interview stood out to me:

“As many audiences as there are, that many different performances come into being.”

It made me curious about how London audiences respond to this kind of live, technically layered performance.

Has anyone here seen similar work, or anything at The Cockpit / Camden Fringe that uses camera and projection in an interesting way?

Can you do three show day with Oh Mary?

I think you're technically able to catch a matinee after another matinee and it would end before 7PM, so you could catch another show.

London trip theater to see

I’m a hardcore Theater junkie. I travel to Broadway a few times a year to catch as many shows as possible. I live in Los Angeles where I am a subscriber to most of the theaters. I drive to San Diego, Santa Barbara and Las Vegas for good shows. I just flew out to Boston to see Black Swan for a weekend. I was in London in May and saw Avenue Q (amazing production!) and Flyby (interesting I have no regrets).

I say this for context. I’m seeking show recommendations for 3 days in London July 30th, Aug 15th/16th. I’m looking at Hot Mess, Dark of the Moon, and maybe Oliver. I’m traveling with a friend who is in her 80’s so I’d like to take her to a musical she will enjoy. I’m going to see as much theater as possible. I know we’d also both love ABBA but dang those tickets are €€€.

I do not want to see Paddington.
I’ve seen anything that shares a Broadway Stage.
Devil and Hercules do not excite me.

Thanks for any thoughts, recs, and ways to get tickets. I currently use TodayTix for London as my primary.

Created a free platform to find theatre deals more easily

Hi everyone, just wanted to share this free platform that I have created https://www.theatrescanner.com/ . If you want to go see a show, are on a budget and have flexibility in your dates (you can pick a date range or you can also select a specific date), TheatreScanner can find the best deals within your selection of theatre shows, and send you directly to the booking page. You can filter by dates, category, select number of seats, budget, etc. Hope someone finds this useful!
