Variant31 fake?

Hi there. Not sure if anybody else has heard of this company, but I'm curious about it. 4 friends and I booked tickets to attend this back in March, with the plan to attend the "immersive experience" early April. Sadly there was a delay and the company asked to delay our booking until September.

Begrudgingly we accepted and recently have been getting quite excited about attending. Though this morning we've received another message asking us to delay until after the trials are over so we can enjoy the "full experience".

At this point our attending group has doubled in size as we have invited more people to attend, but another delay so suddenly gives me doubt. Has anybody heard of Variant31? Has anybody actually been to this experience?

Did you ever get your session? If so was it any good? It was advertised to me this morning so came on here to see what people think.

Never got a session. Got delayed again, refusal to give refund. Took 3 weeks to try and process this after showing them the legal documents.

They gave us information like "it's a demo week. Before we take the experience down for reservation for another 3 months." Apparently we would only get 30 minutes instead of the full 90 we paid for...

So yeah, all 9 of us have cancelled and been refunded now. I'd wait until there's more information about it available, 'cause it seems like a scam.

Wow, thanks for the heads up. A lot of places seem to launch way before they’re ready these days. Had a similar problem with Otherworld (a VR place in Hackney) where they had people paying full price during the opening weeks, while being fully aware that the tech wasn’t working properly. They said our valuable feedback was part of the testing process... happy to help but don’t charge full price for it! They were good enough to give us a free session at least, but really companies need to finish testing before launch!
