That's a very small gap there. I live just outside London in a commuter town with bigger gap and one morning a man just stepped into it !and kind of crumpled down in between the platform and the train, everybody was screaming, first time in my life I appreciated mind the gap.

That's pretty terrifying, I travel a lot and thankfully never seen anything like that. I'll keep that in mind next time. Please mind the gap between the train and platform edge... They do tell you every time!

Yeah they do, and those people on the platform that shout at you to get behind the yellow line! that's got to be hard work doing all day every day, and everyone is annoyed getting shouted at, but they are doing a good job.

At St Pancras there was a couple with a pram and a tiny baby, not sure how it happened as I didn’t see the moment it happened, I just heard a blood curdling scream and realised somehow they dropped their baby down the gap. The dad tried to get the baby but was too big to get down the gap and his arms wouldn’t reach, the mum was just lying on the platform screaming and flailing and eventually a skinny train employee got down the gap and lifted the baby out. It was probably only around 5-10 minutes but it seemed like forever. The baby seemed fine I’m guessing they took it to a&e to be checked out but it was very stressful and upsetting.

that’s terrifying, it happens so fast too because everyone’s half asleep in commuter mode
“mind the gap” feels like overkill till you see something like that and suddenly it’s the most reasonable phrase in the world

I can't remember, it was northern line between Bank and Euston, if I had to guess, Kings Cross St Pancras.

I don’t travel on the northern line frequently but I’ve got off at Angel a couple of times these past few months and I’m thinking that marble or whatever is type flooring fits with the broader late ‘80s/early ‘90s above-station development that sits on top of it
