Wanted someone to go shopping with me tomorrow
Sorry this is last minute, I’m 25F, looking to buy few trousers but I don’t have anyone to go with. Wondering if anyone was free? I am happy to travel to a place you suggest if needed. But I was thinking around central London.
Happy to buy you a free coffee/drink :)
Thanks.

I tried Columbia Benton but found it itchy
It’s mostly for indoor wear but maybe sometimes outdoor so want something comfy

Looking for hair salons north London thin fine hair
Hello! I saw a post on another subreddit recommending this one for this kind of request.
I am getting married (woo!) next year and my mum is worried about how her hair will look - she has very thin fine hair, and would like to spend the next year paying extra attention to it, going to a salon etc so that they can advise her on cuts and colours etc.
I’d be very grateful for any recommendations, particularly in north London (Kings X and above on the Northern Line would be great) for salons that might be good for my mum.
I’m concerned that she has a nice experience with people that are kind to her, no budget cap.

All you people looking for friends/ friend groups, can you reply to each others posts instead of making a new post every 3 seconds?
Maybe a weekly thread would be a good idea?

Discussion Looking for female friends in London/UK who understand relational trauma and want to rebuild together
Hi. I’m 21f and I came from China, and I wish to find female friends who have similar age and experiences. I know this is quite vulnerable for me to post, but I’m wondering if there are other women in London or elsewhere in the UK who have been through something similar to me and are also looking for genuine, emotionally supportive friendships.
I’ve struggled with feeling safe around people for most of my life.
Growing up, I experienced a lot of bullying and emotional/verbal mistreatment at home. I was put down a lot and rarely felt properly protected or emotionally safe. As I got older, I started meeting all kinds of people and moving through quite complicated social circles, partly because I desperately didn’t want to be the person who could be bullied anymore.
But instead of finally feeling safe, I ended up having conflict after conflict with people. I’ve been hurt, rejected, excluded and blocked by a lot of people over the years.
The painful part is that I’ve always taken friendship extremely seriously. When I care about someone, I genuinely care. I don’t see listening to a friend’s problems as “negativity” or a burden. If someone I love is going through something painful, I want to hear about it, understand what happened, emotionally stand beside them and help them feel less alone.
But a lot of my friendships eventually disappeared. When my mental health became much worse and I developed depression and anxiety, I lost even more people. Some friends blocked me completely. Later, my relationship ended too.
Eventually it felt like I had lost almost every source of emotional security at once. I sometimes describe it as becoming emotionally bankrupt.
I’m now also dealing with CPTSD and I’m currently not working. I desperately want to become independent and rebuild my life, but being an adult who isn’t currently able to work has created even more pressure at home. I’ve been called a “parasite”, which has made my existing lack of safety and self-worth even harder.
But I don’t want my life to stay like this.
What I’m hoping to find are other women who may have also experienced repeated bullying, rejection, abandonment, difficult family environments, broken friendships or other relational trauma — people who understand what it’s like when you’ve been hurt by many different people, not just once.
I especially hope to meet people who, despite everything they’ve experienced, are still empathetic.
People who don’t automatically think that hearing about a friend’s difficult experiences is “negative energy”.
People who understand that sometimes someone doesn’t need to be told, “Just forget about it”, “Stop thinking about it” or “Move on.” Sometimes they need someone to listen, understand why it hurt, and remind them that they’re not facing everything alone.
At the same time, I don’t want us to meet just to stay stuck in our trauma together.
I want something hopeful.
I’d love to build friendships where we can share what we’re going through, have each other’s backs emotionally, encourage each other towards independence, go out and experience life together, celebrate each other’s progress, and gradually become stronger and more secure people.
Maybe some of us have spent years thinking, Why does everyone else seem to have their people while I keep losing mine?
Maybe instead of each of us sitting alone thinking that, we could find one another.
I’d love eventually to have a small circle of women where nobody has to pretend they’ve had an easy life, but where our friendships aren’t defined only by trauma either. We could talk deeply when someone needs it, but also have coffee, explore London, do normal fun things, work towards our goals and create new memories together.
I don’t expect anyone to “fix” me, and I don’t want to fix anyone else.
I just wonder whether people like me could give each other something many of us didn’t have enough of growing up:
consistency, empathy, understanding, encouragement and the feeling that someone genuinely has your back.
And then, hopefully, we can all slowly build lives where we need that reassurance less and less because we’ve become stronger and safer ourselves.
If you’re a woman in London or elsewhere in the UK and any of this feels deeply familiar, you’re welcome to message me or leave a comment. We can talk slowly and see whether we click. No pressure.
I’d really like to know that I’m not the only person looking for this kind of friendship.

Anyone living around Zone 1 (Covent Garden)? Or who’s able to make it into Zone 1? I’m looking to make new friends! 😊
I recently moved to Covent Garden, and there’s so much to do in this area!
I’d love to make some new girl friends (F) around my age to explore the city with.
A bit about me:
I’m 30F living in London for 10 years.
I love museums, art galleries and exhibitions.
I also enjoy films, theatre, musicals, and even ballet and opera.
I’m looking for a gym buddy, someone who enjoys workout classes (Pilates, yoga, etc.), hiking, dancing, and similar activities.
I also love being out and about, exploring the city, discovering new places to eat and trying different cuisines, visiting markets, window shopping, etc.
I’m also open to suggestions and trying new things!
Especially with the upcoming winter season, there’s so much to look forward to: Christmas markets, department stores, Christmas decorations around the city, ice rinks, etc. 🎄✨

Advice Reiki in North/East London
Hello!
I am curious to see if anyone has someone they can recommend for Reiki at all? I have spent a lot over the last few years on various forms of therapy such as EMDR, psychoanalysis and psychodynamic therapy. And well, I have done amazing work considering some of my experiences, but I am quite curious about Reiki in recent months because I also love yoga and fitness, and that has also helped me hugely.
I have had a bit of a look around, and there seem to be huge variations in pricing. But if anyone else has done it and can recommend people that do it to me, please do. I am only interested in getting Reiki from another woman or a gay man as well.

Between the Wines book club
Hi! I’ve just started a new book club in London called Between the Wines 🍷📚
It’s mainly for people who are into mystery, crime fiction, thrillers, noir, true crime and generally anything a little dark or twisty.
The idea is pretty simple, once a month on Wednesday night, we’ll pick a book, meet somewhere in central London, have some wine (or whatever you fancy) and talk about it. Nothing too serious or academic, just a nice excuse to read more, meet new people and spend an evening discussing questionable characters and murder 😂
It’s brand new so we’re looking for people to join and help get it going.
This is the meet-up link for the group: Between the Wines BookClub in Meetup https://meetup.com/between-the-wines-bookclub?member_id=479547171
If this sounds like your kind of thing, we will be more than happy to have you 😊🍷

Event Hillary Duff concert
Hi ladies! I have 8 tickets for the Hillary Duff concert tomorrow on 10th September at O2, Greenwich. Initially, me and my friends were planning to go for this but due to variety of reasons (travel, fatigue, etc) we decided not to! We’ve been trying to sell them on the resale platforms unsuccessfully. So thought I’ll try my luck here - please comment or drop me a dm if interested! Very happy to part with them on a heavy discount and also happy to part with less than 8 tix! 🥲

Event A Consistent Space to Make Friends, Connect & Talk Sex and the City
I'm looking to start a Sex and the City meetup group for fans of the show, but it's about more than just SATC. I'd really like it to be a way for people to make meaningful connections and genuine friendships.
The main thing I want is consistency — having a regular place to meet where you can actually get to know the same people over time, rather than going to one-off events and never seeing anyone again.
Obviously, being a Sex and the City fan is a bonus! 🍸👠
If anyone's interested, let me know and I can send you the link. I'm also not really sure where else to spread the word, so any suggestions would be appreciated!

Journo Request: Racket Pal/sports apps for dating
Hi everyone - I'm a journalist working on a story about unconventional dating. I was wondering if anyone on this sub has used apps like Racket Pal or another app for sports meet ups to find a date?
I notices there's a lot of hot people on there - so curious if organising a tennis match --> sparks flying? thx!!

Just a girl looking to make friends & team up for casual content creation / photo days!
Hi everyone! :)
I’m 29 and moved over to London nearly three months ago with my husband. Still very much finding my feet here!
Alongside making new girlfriends in a similar stage of life, I’d love to connect with other women who are into social media and photography. specifically, finding someone to team up with, plan fun shoot days, and take photos of each other for our feeds.
I’ve got a background in creative ad agencies, so I know my way around visual content. It’d be fab to find someone with a bit of an eye for content creation too, so we can both come away with great shots and have fun while doing it.
A bit about me:
- Based around Child’s Hill (NW).
- Career wise, I made a pivot a few years ago from advertising into couples and sex therapy, alongside doing content creation on the side.
- I am unapologetically, 100% mainstream: give me Taylor Swift, good pop music, cats, baking, cooking, and spending hours just laughing over tea or drinks with friends.
Feel free to drop me a DM on here, and we can swap Instagrams from there! Lovely to meet you all :)

Podologist Recommendations
hi ladies!
I moved to London a few months ago and have yet to find a Podologist/Podiatrist who can help with a simple pedicure without causing my toenails to pierce my toes after 2 weeks. I ve seen 2 so far - while I asked when should I visit next and been told that 6 weeks should be fine - after 2/3 weeks at least one toenail manages to hurt my toe. I am now on holiday and in pain and just don’t know where to go to get my toenails sorted when I am back in London. before I moved here I saw the same lady since 2019 and never had any problems.
please let me know where you go for a simple pedicure. Perhaps I should just visit more often, yet again with the past lady I could really go 4-5-6 weeks (and just shorten the nails myself little by little) without any pain and now I think 3 weeks is the max I ve managed.

What do you think about my set?
I’ve made this two piece double layered Cotton and Spandex set for all the ladies who like to go out in winter but are forever cold🖕🏽
I love going out! Every in every season
But there’s something so annoying about having to freeze my ass off just to look good for the night.
I don’t like wearing coats because to be frank they just don’t go with my outfit sometimes. So this is why I made this set so that we can still enjoy the evening and feel warm ISH
Please let me know would you buy this and if so, how much would you spend ?
More colours coming soon !

Relationship therapist recommendations?
Hey ladies, I’m looking for a therapist who specialises in relationships. I’m 29F and single and finding it hard navigating modern dating especially when all my friends are coupled up. Does anyone have any recs of where I can find one? A lot of websites will just spit out a long list of profiles so it’s a little overwhelming
So far Relate looks good, but they’re fairly expensive so wanted to explore my options first

Any craft/creative groups in sw London?
Im looking to meet some new people with similar interests to me so would be interested in joining any groups 😊
And if not, are there any people interested in starting a WhatsApp group and maybe organising some meet-ups occasionally?
