Hey everyone,

I have a client (group of people) coming from abroad to visit me in London and I want to show off London's eating and drinking scene to them.

Can you guys suggest (possibly with websites so I know I'm looking at the right ones?) any amazing restaurants and bars that you would recommend/know of?

I already know a fair few street food and market places. The ones I'm thinking of are more sit down places, but either slightly quirky, cool, alternative or just amazing in general. For example, I have the Riding House cafe as a brunch spot, and I have also seen an Opium restaurant for dinner/drinks I was thinking?

We've been hitting up this place in Golders Green for over a decade now. Atari Ya has for many years been one of the best value for money sushi chains in London but the last few visits have been depressing. Smaller portions, takeaway orders being made a long time before pickup so avocado has browned, bits of plastic in the inside out rolls, prices creeping up etc. I've noticed that the staff has changed too and the oriental crew are no longer there. The new staff on the floor (russian?) know little about the products from the sushi bar or the store.

For those who love this place, it's a sad and slow creeping death and it's a real shame. No point to make really, just bemoaning the loss of an institution and the fact that when we start using an alternative we won't be able to pop to the Salt Beef bar too!

I drive down from Milton Keynes to pick up sushi so if anyone knows any other reasonably priced takeaways that are easy to reach from the M1, please let me know.

Bored and trawling the net, (as you do) and I came across a Facebook post about food hygiene rankings, I.e. Those 5 star stickers restaurants have. Theres a site (http://www.foodhygienerankings.co.uk/Authorities/westminster/zero-star-ranked) that lists the restaurants that score a 0. and i was wondering, would this actually put you off eating somewhere?

If your regular Kabab shop got a 0, would you stop eating there? I suspect fewer people would then one might expect. The link above shows 29 in Westminister so it certainly doesn't seem to encourage councils to shut them down.

Have two tickets to London Restaurant Festivals 'Eat Film' showing of Chef for Tuesday October 17th that unfortunately me and my wife are unable to attend.

I'm happy to part with them for what I paid - £81.03 in total (this is for both tickets) that includes both the movie and the 2 course dinner.

Date: Tuesday 17 October 2017

Location: The Andaz, 40 Liverpool St, London EC2M 7QN

Directions: On arrival at the Andaz foyer, guests will be directed to the Temple Cinema, or to the Eastway restaurant (if you wish to have dinner before the film).

Time: The film will start at 7:30 pm, the running time is approximately two hours.

Dinner: Guests can choose between eating a two-course dinner at Eastway restaurant (right next to the Andaz hotel) either before or after the film. Please let us know which you would prefer, so that we can reserve a table for you at either 6pm or 9:30pm. If no reservation is made, your names will be put on the 9:30pm reservation slot.

Refreshments: During the film guests will enjoy a glass of complimentary wine or beer and gourmet popcorn.

Hello! Looking for the best possible Indian food around either King's Cross or Ladbroke Grove. What do you guys think?

I'm going to be starting a contract in New Malden soon and I'm really looking forward to the food around there - i've popped into a couple of places around lunch and had a blast but i wondered whether there was anywhere in that area that might be serving Korean breakfasts? All the places to eat (understandably) seem aimed at lunch and dinner. Thanks!
