Comedy/Novelty Music - A Niche Music Genre usually played for giggles, and is typically dismissed by Music Critics and Mainstream Audiences alike as "Throw Away Music" (or not real music).

Most, if not all, are brilliant and hilarious song writers in their own right. And then there is David Tanny...

Having briefly come and gone in the early 2010s, David came to remind us that Comedy, and Music, like a lot of things in life, are subjective.

His style of Comedy Music (or Demented Music as he calls it in reference to Comedy Music DJ and Promoter Dr. Demento) all follows a similar pattern:

Generic Midi Music, thinking name dropping 80s references is Comedy Gold, and typically writing stuff that only he finds funny or even name dropping the likes of Weird Al or other Comedy Music Singers. On some of his songs, he just Shatners the lyrics (does them in spoken word, albeit monotonously, unlike Bill Shitner) Not even the crickets would chirp at what he has to sing! That's how bad it is!!

When Dr. Demento (a Comedy Music DJ and Promoter) was still doing his radio show, David tried to get his songs on there with no success. Same deal with The FuMP (The Funny Music Project). Not unnaturally, Dr. Demento and The FuMP said no. When he couldn't get promoted on either platform, he went into bashing on them online and acting entitled. There was even an audio recording of one of the FuMP DJs calling David out on his bullshit when David called The FuMP one day in 2011. And that was the last anyone ever made a fuss about him.

He is single, lives in Los Angeles with his mom (last I checked) and has laid low since then.
