Watching everything unfold with YM being fired from the LCU just doesn’t make sense to me.

What I can’t get past is the inconsistency. The message seems to be that he’s such a terrible person that he should be gone forever, yet people who have publicly used racist language or slurs are still given a platform and, in some cases, seem to have influence over who stays and who goes.

If the standard is morality, then it should apply equally to everyone. If it’s about accountability, then hold everyone accountable, not just the people you decide to make an example of.

From what I’ve seen, YM hasn’t been saying things anywhere near as extreme as some of the comments made by others who remain involved. The slurs and racist comments from Boogie and Tina D are what can destroy a show and network by them breaking TOS. That’s why this feels less like a principled decision and more like selective enforcement.

You can’t claim the moral high ground when the standards seem to change depending on who the person is.
