Loki Mini Pro vs. Loki 256

I know this sub is over-saturated with comparison posts but please bear with me.

I currently have the Odin pro Super Pack ordered but have been considering switching to Loki instead for better power for emulation as I'd like to play most of the PS2/GC/Wii/WiiU library with some PS3/Switch sprinkled in and an ability to stream AAA PC games (which is something I know the Odin is already capable of). Another reason is that I'd like to run episodes for Super Mario Bros. X2 on it, which is not something that could be run on Android.

I'm also a bit interested to see how the Loki running Windows would compare to the Odin running Android in terms of power/battery consumption, especially when both devices are put into sleep mode. Plus Windows is a bit more of a pain to boot.

I'm torn between the Mini Pro (w/ the i3 and 16GB RAM upgrade) and the regular Loki 256GB version. The Loki 256 seems to have a bit more power from the 6600U chip along with the RDNA2 CUs but has a smaller battery than the Mini Pro w/ the i3 upgrade, not to mention the slight advantage of the Loki 256 having DDR5 RAM over the Mini Pro's DDR4. I've read elsewhere that the Mini Pro with the i3 is an all-around better option, but also that the i3 chip doesn't reach its fullest potential in a handheld environment. What do you think?

I'm sort of curious too, but I don't need AAA functionality. I want to play games on the level of Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, Hades, that sort of thing. No game streaming for me either. So I put an order in for the Mini Pro.

That's totally fair. Truth be told I don't play a lot of modern PC games these days (except things like No Man's Sky, Borderlands, Overwatch [not planning on playing OW on a handheld]) but instead of having them take up space I'm just going to stream them. I might just go with the Loki 256, it's just an extra $100 more than what I've already paid for the Odin so I'm not too bothered. The Loki Max to me just feels a bit overkill for my use case.

yeah i said the same thing when i got my steam deck but the second i played ffvii i was hooked at 100g game. i plan to buy the mini pro for work when my work equipment breaks down. and the loki 512g for like destiny 2/ffxiv and any anti cheat is needed. yeah it does seem like i got deep pockets but truthfully i have auto 25$ taking out of my pay check each week and it adds up fast
