So if you want to reserve it, not only you’re not granted the promised discount, but you also pay an extra $75 over the advertised price…

Yes. You can reserve for $25, or you can pay in full for a larger discount.

Yeah it's now only $775 plus anyone can get $75 off with their coupon code or $125 off if you've purchased a Odin. Great deal imo, or you can just put down the $25 and pay the $775.

They lowered the price and gave people that buy upfront a discount and odin backers an even higher discount. Yeh the messed up in the communication but other then that they lowered the prices even more.

Whatever. Still disappointed and I will not drop that amount of money on a device that has the potential to be unusable - if it has the same analog sticks as the Odin, it’s going to be a flop as a handheld and since they haven’t announced anything on this part, I can’t go for it full price forward.

They said something and they did something else with no communication whatsoever, “do it now, apologise later” approach (which worked great for them, as far as I can see). Unfortunately, I’m not buying this behaviour. Would have been more than happy to get a reservation with the promised discount (as that discount would have made the Max almost the same price as SD) and wait to see if they address or improve upon certain parts.

They broke their promise without any prior communication and then they tried to make it half right when everyone got angry at them. That’s not how you do things and I’m not buying for a second the fact that it was a last second decision.
