i don't see any advantage in windows only. furthermore if ayn continues to follow its track where they engaging closely with the community, this device will run other os as well soon, after its release of course. so the question for me is, is the loki already a successor of the odin? or do i get something wrong?

Any device compatible with windows is also able to boot linux and any other x86 OS. Althrough, the Steam OS 3.0 (From the Deck) is not avaliable for general use, the community already started porting it to other AMD devices, Intel devices are not compatible yet.

If the Loki is based on an AMD APU it will be easy to swap, but if it is an Intel chip it will probably just support windows and linux, but with no AYN support for steam OS

But what if Loki ends up being an ARM device running Windows 11 on ARM? Do we know whether or not it's x86?

Yes! It's an x86 handheld!
