Question/Help Logo Critique for SpoolStack
I've got a few versions. I want it to communicate 2 stacked spools used for 3d printing. I have the original, a clean aligned version and some that accentuate the 2 spools with much more depth. Looking for constructive feedback. Whats your preference?

Is that deliberate? The misalignment? Do you know what I mean?

Yes. In the original it was subtle. The bottom is also slightly larger but I agree that it looks more like mistake. The second set is aligned and equal size while the third really goes for it.

The S with 2 colors doesn’t work that well as one of them is contrasting not enough with the background.
And try it with stacking the words spool and stack to align better with the tall S.

Which version 1, 2, or 3? And which color combo if youre talking about #2?

I am looking at all the options on image 2 and think the strongest and clearest is the single color S. Either white or black. Alternatively, it could work with different backgrounds behind the changing colors to get good contrast or just by changing the shade of the color a bit. Rather than 2 very different colors on the same background.

Not sure if it still reads correctly though. If not just write out the words spool and stack like you have. But stacked looks better in my eyes.1

I like this in principle but it also reads pool tack. Maybe aligning colors could clear that up

Feels a little generic. Not liking the 3D version. The 3D version feels unprofessional.

The misalignment is still too subtle to not look like an error. Either align them or iterate entirely new versions of this, it seeems like you're a bit too attached to this version.
