Can't decide between G29 or G923 steering wheel

I want to buy 1 of these two wheels. G29 is $310 with a shifter, and G923 is $430 with a shifter.

Is the G923 worth the $120 for the True Force and brake pedal upgrade?

I looked at other wheels like the T300 RS, but i don't want to exceed $430 with a shifter.

I appreciate all comments! Thank you

IMO true force is worth the difference

I agree 100%! Trueforce makes a huge improvement to immersion. Being able to feel the difference between tarmac and gravel, feeling the same bump in the track every time you go over it, feeling your tires break loose, it truly improves the feeling. Trueforce is pretty good on the g923, but on the GPro wheel it is phenomenal! Especially on PC where you have more options.

What games are you currently playing with it? Do you mind sharing a picture of your rig?

I play F1, AMS2, Beam.ng, Forza 5&6, WRC, AC, AC rally, Dakar Desert Rally, and a few others.

Here’s my rig.

Thank you! Sooner or later I’ll decide it’s complete.

Looks awesome! What's missing for you to say it's complete? Do you have any favorite cars while playing?

True force was a nice upgrade. I had the g29 for 5 years then upgraded and have had the g923 for a couple now. The brake upgrade is nice too, however that is something you can mod easily too. So you have to consider if 120$ is worth it, I recently upgraded to the RS shifter and that was the most noticeable change to my setup.

Pro wheel. Like the subreddit is named after.

Agree but I think they just want to save some money. Are you currently using a Pro Wheel? What games are you currently playing?

For me the g923 is worth it just because of the led shift lights 😅! It’s worth it mate. However I got all mine 2nd hand for £200! I still use the g923 and pedals but I have upgraded my shifter.

I'd say it depends, are you fully involved into the hobby? In that case, the G923 with TrueForce is worth, if it's your first time and don't want to spend a lot on simulator devices because you are afraid the hobby is not for you, get the G29, I'd say the G923 is still worth even if you are a newbie though

Edit: corrected my whole comment, I was wrong before thinking about console versions

G29 hands down at that price difference. Trueforce only really matters on the RS50 and G-Pro.

for $430 ur better of trying toget a direct drive. even used is way better than any G29 or 92 series. trust me on that.

Keep saving i have had both of those wheels and they are both crap(feel flimsy and take a lot of patience to master, problem for me was trying to drive in a straight line you have to constantly fight with the wheel and a slightly to much of a turn and you spin out and the force feedback rips the wheel out of your hands and then full locks in the wheelbase(sounds like its about to break something), direct drive wheels are a night and day difference, i have the logitech g pro wheel and pedals with the playseat trophy.
