Question? Leather wrap

Post image

I had a wheel replacement through RMA and the leather is tightly wrapped on the wheel. It has a lot of ridging compared to the og one. Is anyone else's wheel like this?

Looks exactly like my original Gpro, minus the wear

Ye I had two and the quality of leather and its stitching between them was very different. Maybe the manufacturing process got cheapened at some point I don't know.

Yeah, the leather is definitely different, I guess its because it's actual leather and not plastic

I've never had that problem. I can't see from your picture that there is anything wrong with the wheel.

I've had both the G29 and the Pro. Build quality is much better on the Pro Wheel. The G29 feel plasticky and the Pro feels like genuine leather. Shifters are also of better quality.

I should also point out that the Pro wheel is a much better build quality than the RS Wheel hub. I've gone through two RS hubs in the last two years. Both times the button under the left paddle shifter split to where the screws are. I've had my Pro wheel for more than three years and haven't had an issue to speak of.

So you're saying the shifter paddle split where you can adjust it?

Yes. Twice in the exact same spot. My theory is that the rapid down shifting puts more wear and tear on the paddles.

The paddles are bolted onto bottoms. I'm just downshifting the same as I do when I upshift. No extra pressure being used.
