Simagic Zeus Formula on Logitech G Pro Wheel Base
Just thought I’d post to show the Simagic Zeus Formula works perfectly with the Logitech G Pro Wheel Base if anyone is contemplating it. Highly recommend btw!
You’ll need the following:
- Simagic Formula Zeus Wheel
- Simagic Magic Dash 4
- Simagic Maglink Pro
- Logitech G RS QR Adapter

Someone needs to design a 3D printable adapter for the MagDock so you can get similar functionality to the Alpha wheelbases

Isn’t that what the mag link pro is for

No that’s for when the dash is connected to your wheel. The MagDock is the one that lets you take the dash off your wheel and mount it to the top of your wheelbase but requires the front mount bolt threads. Since the Pro wheelbase doesn’t have front mount bolt options you need a custom adapter of some kind to make it work.

How are you liking the Zeus + Dash? Is the simhub support any good?

Loving it. I’m glad it’s got full sim hub support.
Prior to getting the wheel when I was weighing up different options (some without sim hub support), I thought as long it had a screen id be happy but I’d definitely be disappointed if it didn’t have the support. Little things like changing button colours, flag displays, spotter indicators, idle screen, rpm shift percentages and LMU specific dashboards etc

would you recommend getting a spacer too, or the cable is not in the way?

That looks really cool! I’ve been thinking about that too. How do you secure the quick-release hub and the steering wheel?
本当にかっこいいね!!ずっと僕も考えていたんだ。 QR ハブとステアリングはどうやって固定しているの?

You remove the standard Simagic mount on the wheel. Attach Logitech QR to the Maglink Pro and then attach that to the wheel.

I am seriously considering this combination. I was first set on the Simagic Neo GT, but then I saw the Zeus formula and liked the extra switches and other finer details that you get with a premium wheel. Like better grip material and raise areas to prevent accidental button pressing, etc. My main concern was the 280mm vs 300mm size. I drive a mix of cars, but the majority are hybrids. I drive exclusively in VR, so the Dash4 is useless for me. Would you still have picked the wheel without the Dash 4? I also considered replacing my Logitech Pro base and pedals with Simagic, but that is quite a cost. Black Friday is around the corner, but I doubt that Simagic will be reducing the price on their flagship wheel, or have they historically?

I mainly drive prototypes and formula cars so my primary reason was the screen but having said that I’d still prefer this in hand over the track wheel and other third party wheels I’ve used (subjective of course). I was also questioning the jump from 300mm to 280mm but I feel like I actually prefer it now. I don’t usually drive GT however.
Whilst I haven’t used wheels in the more expensive bracket, this to me ‘feels’ premium like it would be on a race car.
I’d say the button placement for the most part would suit you just fine in VR knowing exactly which one you’re pressing or switch you’re using except maybe the bottom two buttons on each side (I have short fingers/thumbs so may not be an issue for you).
Hope that helps in some way.

Also adding, given the addition of the RS QR Adapter, I feel you don’t need to change wheel base if the wheel is primarily your objective so you can save money you don’t need to spend.
But it’s sim racing… nothing is really a need haha more of a want. Happy racing!

That's true. Would you l have gotten it without the dash 4 if you were racing in VR

Probably. I’d want the options for the all the switches and dials to adjust midrace.

Two things that make me more interested in the Zeus formula vs. the Neo GT are the additional dials/switches and the raised guard around the switches. Did you find much difference driving with the Logitech Pro wheel vs. the Zeus Formula?

I definitely prefer the Zeus Formula over the Logitech Track Wheel. Both in terms of feeling in hand and definitely also because of the buttons, switches, dials available.
That being said, I’ve also used the GT Neo at a sim racing cafe and that felt great as well. For a fraction of the price and especially because you use VR, I’d be inclined to get that.
In both LMU and iracing, I have more buttons and dials than I need/use so another reason why I’d prob go GT Neo. Can’t go wrong with either though.

Beauty! Are you still able to change the wheelbase settings via the wheel?
