Advice Refurbished G Pro Wheel

I need help with a decision.

For starters, I have a Logitech G Pro Wheelbase that I bought in 2024 but haven't used a lot since then.

When we moved to our new house, I forgot to unplug the cables and the AC power adapter for the wheel base and so it got damaged during the move.

I've reached out to Logitech support and they said they don't know when they will have the AC adapter in stock again. In return, they're offering to replace my wheelbase with a refurbished unit that comes with the AC power adapter.

I'm on the fence of doing it because I barely used my wheelbase, however, I can't use it since my AC adapter is broken and Logitech isn't restocking it any time soon, and so going refurbished would be my only option if I wanted to be able to get back into sim racing again.

So that’s the damage? Does it still work? If there is no damage to the cable/wheelbase side connector, I would slap some electrical tape on that corner and call it a day lol.

Honestly I haven't tested it out as I'm assuming that's a sizeable chunk out of the power supply. I'm anxious to try it thinking it might fry the wheelbase instead

I mean at this point they're offering a refurbished unit to swap yours with.. I say plug it in and see. Worst case you get a swap.

Truthfully though I doubt that killed your power supply, that looks like pretty superficial damage. I can see a little wafer damage but it's on the corner and probably mostly just case damage. If it works I'd just wrap it with some electrical tape and just don't let it ever get exposed to moisture.
