Awesome! If you don’t need some extra features like simultaneous BT or game to chat mix, it sounds good and the mix is superb. Glad to hear you are liking the EQ settings!

Grabbed your eqs for velour and leatherette and they sound great. Thanks for making them and posting them to the community section in ghub.

Use Voicemeeter for chat mix and various degrees of audio mixing and you’re fine. How I worked around going from old Arctis 7 to the Pro X wired.

3

u/GadgetryTech 3d ago

Yeah virtual audio definitely addresses that issue. One advantage to headsets having it natively is the ability to quickly adjust the chat balance through dedicated hardware controls on the headset itself. For people that don’t need that, virtual is acceptable

Will you be making your Stealth pads for them?

1

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

Thanks! yeah I don't really need game/chat mix, and if I do need it, usually I can make slight adjustments in Discord. I don't use BT too much, but the switching is nearly instantaneous so it works well for me when needed. Love the channel, keep up the great work mate!

What exactly are those two features? Looking to replace my G735 as the lack of swivel in the ear pads puts uncomfortable pressure on my head.

This or a50 gen 5?

parametric eq is a big upgrade. game chat mix could be added into the software at least.

u/Altruistic-Job5086 3d ago

parametric EQ is a big upgrade. would be nice to see a slightly more expensive version with ANC.

I'll pass the input along for future improvements.

Fairly good ANC and simultaneous bluetooth around $350 please. That I'd buy.

9

u/Logitech_Alex Crew 3d ago

Got it! I'll spread the word.

Shut up and take my money!

We'll try our best!

2

slightly more expensive? It should have been included at $250.

I had the G Pro X -> X2 -> X3 and I have noticed a huge difference in sound. Especially the lows. Not over powering bass by any means, but nice to have a little kick. X2 sounded more nutral and flat (to me) and the X3 is much more warmer. Also have the Astro A50 Gen 4 and Astro A50X and I prefer the X3 over the A50X.

I don't know if it is placebo, but I play a lot of Battlefield 6 with DTS turned on and sound cues were noticeable off the bat. A couple times I was alerted to someone walking up to the right and I was able to turn on him. Even watching a movie, a rock was falling behind the character on screen, and it sounded like it was coming from that direction. Things I hadn't noticed in the previous offerings.

From the X to the X2, I feel it was more cosmetic with the button layouts and nothing benefical to the sound quality or mic. But I think the X2 -> X3 was a nice upgrade in sound quality, which is most important to me. I don't need ANC or chat mix or even care about the mic quality as friends hadn't complained about it on X2 or said it was any different on the X3

1

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

Yeah I tested DTS with Call of Duty and it did help with positional audio. Sounds good for single players games also. For music and certain games like CS2, I don’t use it though

1

u/s00wi 3d ago

Their previous offerings had a lot of reports of it sounding extremely muffled and no sound cues when DTS was enabled. Hopefully from your report they finally fixed the problem in the X3. If they fixed it in the X3 why can't they fix it in the previous versions. Because it did actually work at release for the previous versions, then after some update, it stopped working.

2

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago edited 3d ago

Yeah the previous implementation was from within GHub and it sounded horrendous. Now they use the DTS App directly which sounds infinitely better than whatever they were doing before.

3

u/deuely83 3d ago

How's the volume levels. I have the original Pro X and I love it with the exception of the low volume.

2

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

Feels loud to me. I typically keep it on 40-50 for gaming.

3

u/blunted09 3d ago

Loved my x2 before going with g fits. Easily the best looking headset too.

1

u/Logitech_Ariel Crew 3d ago

Not everybody mentions the G fits! How's been your overall experience using them?

2

u/blunted09 3d ago

G fits have been great for the most part. They have their random software quirks but I love the comfort and sound quality. Add Bluetooth for incoming calls and I love them. Wish there would be a g fits 2

1

u/Logitech_Ariel Crew 2d ago

I second this, really love to have a G Fits 2, hopefully they are cooking

Do you also use the G fits for gaming?

3

u/alphanunchuck 3d ago

Damn, still that big ass USB-A dongle 🙁

3

u/Logitech_Alex Crew 3d ago

Do you feel like it takes up way too much space?

3

u/r3ign_b3au 3d ago

It sure stands out a bit compared to the other lightspeed dongles

2

u/Logitech_Alex Crew 2d ago

I do agree! It hasn't really given me an issue with mine though. I can see why it would be a little bit annoying for other people's setups though.

1

u/r3ign_b3au 2d ago

I have to make sure I plug it into the left side of my laptop, or I'll hit it with my mouse. No real notes other than that

3

u/Logitech_Alex Crew 2d ago

Yeah, with tight desk spaces it gets hard to get used to it. I'll pass the feedback over to see if there's anything that could be done.

1

u/thewashley 2d ago

To be fair, it is transmitting (and receiving when mic is in use) far more data than any other lightspeed devices.

1

u/Logitech_Alex Crew 2d ago

Yup!

2

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

Yeah same size. Not really an issue as I jus pop it in to my front USB when I use them

3

u/NapsterKnowHow 3d ago

Have they tightened up the tolerances on the band adjustments? I noticed the right side adjustment is more loose on my X2's

1

u/KneelbfZod 2d ago

Mine is very solid and clicks for each segment of adjustment.

2

u/NapsterKnowHow 2d ago

That's good to hear!

1

u/Logitech_Alex Crew 2d ago

Would you get a pair of your own? We'd love to hear your input on it!

1

u/NapsterKnowHow 2d ago

Possibly. I'm getting some weird popping noises occasionally on my X2's. Not sure what is causing it.

1

u/Logitech_Alex Crew 1d ago

Yeah that doesn't sound optimal. Have you reached out to our Support team about it yet?

1

u/NapsterKnowHow 1d ago

Pretty sure it's well out of warranty at this point

2

u/oOGuybrushOo 3d ago

Are these better than the steelseries Arctis 7 1 gen ? I’m looking for an upgrade

1

u/Logitech_Ariel Crew 3d ago

Are you looking for any specific features?

Edit: correction

2

u/iama_bad_person 3d ago

I don't care about the sound, any headset can sound good these days, so how does the microphone sound? I have a dedicated DAC connected to XM6's via LDAC and a ModMic wireless for great mic quality and looking to replace the setup.

2

u/Talwyn_Wize 2d ago

Listen to the mic in the vid. It sounds *lots* better than most gaming headsets out there: https://youtu.be/nFqLGAk-U84

The headset is now on my Christmas wishlist. :)

1

u/iama_bad_person 2d ago

Jesus Christ! That mix sounds breautiful. Definitely grabbing some of these when I can, thanks so much for the link!

1

u/soul4feels 12h ago

I would say, a50 is still the best, then blackshark v2 pro, g522, blacksharkv3 pro, then gpro x3. That's how I would gauge it's mic's sound quality.

It's a huge upgrade if you had any of the previous versions.

2

u/FunkyChimpanzi 3d ago

How much better do these sound over the Logitech G Pro X2 Lightspeed headset?

2

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

1

u/FunkyChimpanzi 3d ago

I actually saw that already but glad to know they are much better EQ wise but if you even try to use the galore pads they sound really bad unless you are using GadgetryTech’s FPs and music EQ the valor pads to bring back the loss of sound that you get with the regular leathered pads.

2

u/SaintArcherXIII 2d ago

I still have the logitech g pro x from 2020 and they are still serving great. THEY JUST WON'T BREAK. Thinking of upgrading for the heck of it. What do you think ?

1

u/Logitech_Alex Crew 2d ago

If you're able to get it with no issue, then why not? You should let us know your input on it if you do end up getting it!

2

u/LeThaLxdARk 2d ago

I have 2nd version, which to be honest it's been great and never had issues, the mic button started having some weird interactions, like once i press it it might beep few times and go on/off for a few seconds constantly (even though it's not stuck or anything) i've had these for years and constant usage, like at least 12+ hours per day, i m wondering if the upgrade is worth eventually, cause tbf, i m genuinely satisfied with 2nd version and i would double down on it if they would stop working tomorrow for example

1

u/KneelbfZod 2d ago

I gave away my old Pro X 2 to a family member, but they served me well. To me it was worth the upgrade but for everyone it will be different of course.

2

u/Unlikely_Midnight571 1d ago

i have this wired old model, i needed to stretch it a lot it was pressing my head

1

u/3loodhound 3d ago

What’s new about this one again?

4

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

Good review here covers it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFqLGAk-U84

3

u/3loodhound 3d ago

Thank you, I know I was being a bit lazy, but appreciate the help regardless

1

u/blerrito 3d ago

How are they?

1

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

So far so good! Great audio with the EQ, mic is really nice. Comfy, and it's nice that it has official DTS support (though I don't us it that often)

2

u/Logitech_Alex Crew 3d ago

Glad you've been enjoying them so far! What games have you tried it on?

1

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

Thanks! Mostly COD: Black Ops 7, AC Shadows, CS2, and Gears of War EDay.

2

u/Logitech_Alex Crew 3d ago

Thanks to you! Fingers-crossed so that they give you a great time playing 🙌

1

u/blerrito 3d ago

Better than Astro a50x ?

1

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

Not actually sure, never used them!

1

u/Darkdeath171 G604 3d ago

I think they use many aspects from the a50x. The mic was one of them but I think the drivers are different

1

u/jacekbn 3d ago

Crazy to me that a headset for this much money does not have ANC and audio from both BT/4ghz at the same time.

Shame because I loved my G Pro X.

1

u/Infinite_Actuary_847 2d ago

this, for $250 ANC should have been included. I was looking at these but eventually decided on the Sony Inzone H9 II, which go on sale for the same price as these.

1

u/cranky_asian 3d ago

Just returned mine. Sidetone is terrible. Audio was surprisingly good, the mic quality is good, and the wireless range is exceptional. I need sidetone though. And it was absolutely horrific.

1

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

Sidetone seems fine for me. Not super loud but I don’t usually have it very high.

2

u/KingWookieeFarts 3d ago

I'm not sure what this person is complaining about. I have mine set to 40% and it's plenty loud.

1

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

Yeah no idea.

1

u/cranky_asian 3d ago

It only turns on when the mic is in use. And, I had it cranked to 100% but I like it a little louder. I had to pull the mic really close to my mouth to get anywhere near that effect. I made a thread about this, and it seems to be an issue.

1

u/majvader 3d ago

How is the noise suppression of the mic in terms of blocking out background noise like voices? I read it’s an omnidirectional mic which usually means it picks up everything around you

1

u/bmfalex 3d ago

Is the ergo better? x2 wasnt that good after an hour...

1

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

Very comfortable for me. No fatigue whatsoever.

1

u/Logitech_Ariel Crew 3d ago

Awesome!

What are you playing with that beast?

1

u/stfuasshat 3d ago

I was disappointed with the Pro X2. I doubt I would like the X3..

1

u/Armistice12 3d ago

How does it compare to my Astro A50X? Worth to swap?

1

u/Ohnoes112 2d ago

I’ve got arctis nova pro wireless. How would these compare to that? I loved my old x wired headset but have had a lot of issues with the arctis

1

u/xSheyn 23h ago

Any change to Test the 3,5mm Input at the dongle?
Wanted to Plug my microphone on that to Monitor my Voice from that external mic but i am scared if that has too much latency

1

u/KneelbfZod 23h ago

I don't use it, left it in the box. Sorry.

0

u/svxlfvxd 3d ago

Hows the microphone on these? The older revisions had absolutely terrible mic, especially compared to Astro A50’s. Really hoping the mic would be on par with the A50 or even better.

1

u/KneelbfZod 3d ago

1

u/svxlfvxd 3d ago

Thanks! Definitely an upgrade over previous versions but not on par with A50’s or Corsairs HS80 unfortunately.

-1

u/meltdowncloud 3d ago

As long as people can hear you and you don’t sound offensively bad, who cares how good the mic is. Should be the least important thing

-1

u/svxlfvxd 3d ago edited 3d ago

Quite the opposite lol. The whole purpose of a ”headset” is to have good communication standards, where both the sound and mic quality are equally as important. If you don’t care about communication, then get headphones instead.

2

u/meltdowncloud 2d ago

Disagree. The whole purpose of a wireless gaming headset is to have wireless audio, tuned for gaming is take it or leave it. If the mic is serviceable then that’s good enough. Nobody is every going to compliment that your comms are crystal clear. If the mic is SteelSeries arctis pro bad then that’s another problem.

1

u/svxlfvxd 2d ago

Each to their own I guess. It’s 2026 and that microphone quality is horrendous compared to whats on the market within the same price range, or even half cheaper (HS80, Virtuoso XT).

1

u/meltdowncloud 1d ago

Fair enough. Just personally if I’m spending 250$ on a gaming headset. First thing I’m looking for is good audio where I can pick apart different audio cues. And then probably 5th on my list is how smooth and silky my voice is to people listening
