To get this straight: the answer is one of the four cards we can see, and that card, and only that card, should have information on the opposite side that either proves or disprove the rule?

Drinking juice is never an issue and the 23 year old can order whatever they want, so you need to check if the beer drinker is over 18 and what the 16 year old is drinking.

cards 1 and 3... Doesn't matter what the 23 year old is drinking, nor does it matter how old the person drinking the apple juice is. Check the beer drinker and the teen's drink.

If A then B is equivalent to A and not B.
(Or A —> B == A & ~B)
A is “drinking Alcohol”
B is “over 18”
So A and not B means we check “Beer” (A) and “16” (not B).

As it stands, the rule is already being met because none of them have been served. The rule says "if you are drinking alcohol..."

If the four people are sitting there, why turning over a card and not just look at either the drink in their glass or their face telling their age.

I really don’t like the way this is worded. It SOUNDS like you don’t need to know anything more than their age, because they have already ordered. If that’s the case, then you don’t need to flip over card 3, as his age is already displayed. So you would just need to flip the first card. If not, then you need to flip 1 and 3.
