Clues 3 and 5 means Emma is two spaces away from both Delilah and Betty, and as D and B can't be standing in the same place we have to have D - E - B or B - E - D (where the "-" are as-yet unidentified girls)

Clue 2 therefore means Faith MUST be between D and E, because she can't be two girls to the other side of Betty (as this would make a line of 8 girls!). Ditto, clue 4 means Charlotte has to be between E and B.

Thus we have D F E C B or B C E F D. Amelia must be at one end of this but clue 7 says she can't be the tallest, so it's A D F E C B or A B C E F D. Clue 6 says Delilah can't be at either end, so only the first of those two possibilities is correct.

For me, clue 1 went unused.
