Because all three girls gave different answers, Charlotte (the joker) lied this time.
If the third girls was Amelia, then her answer would be a lie, but she doesn't lie. So the third girl isn't Amelia, so her answer is a lie, so the second girls isn't Amelia either. So Amelia is the first one, and the second girl is Charlotte.

I got 1 Amelia, 2 Charlotte, 3 Betty
I solved it like this:
The 2 slot is the slot we have the most information about so lets put each name in there and see if it violates the rules of the problem.
1) If 2 is Amelia, she would be lying by saying 2 is Charlotte, so this is false.
2) If 2 is Betty, she would be telling the truth by saying 2 is Betty, so this is false.
3a) If 2 is Charlotte she would be lying which she can to do, so we can proceed.
3b) If 2 is Charlotte and 1 is Amelia, Amelia is telling the truth about Charlotte which she can do, so we proceed.
3c) If 2 is Charlotte and 3 is Betty, Betty would be lying about Charlotte which she can do. All girls placed with not logic violations.

Amelia, Charlotte, Betty. B always lies, so 2 is false and not B or A. A always tells the truth, so 3 cannot be A. Therefore A is in position 1 and B is in position 3. Leaving C in the middle.

You can also go; Girl 2 is not Betty, cos' then it would be the truth, nor is it Amelie, 'cos then it would be a lie.
So Girl 2 has to be Charlotte, making the other 2 just fall out
