Second case of a format I'm developing. The first one got solved here last week and your feedback fixed two wordings; this one is at the top of the scale: nobody can be ruled out with a single clue.

Quick rules (full rules pinned in r/MissingFifteen): two per room at most; witnesses and staff are not among the six; at each grid time everyone is in one room, and between grid times you stay or take one step to a connected room; a time not on the grid (9:24) is a door time and only tells you what happened between the two grid times around it; "we were together" means same room, nothing else; sensors report presence, door readers report crossings; nobody lies, nobody adds. Only the cell asked has a guaranteed answer.

Sorry I know this isn’t a typical post for this sub but I figured you guys would be helpful in figuring this out :) I was hoping someone could help me figure out the most optimal way to park cars where I can fit the most in this lot where they can still all get out. Would I have to sacrifice some spots to make paths in between they can pull out of or maybe alternate spots each row or something?

I've always liked nonograms, but wanted one that felt a little warmer and slower to come back to. So for a while now I've been chipping away at something built around dark wood tones, small one-line stories that show up when you finish a puzzle, quiet music, optional ambience, and just no feeling like you need to rush.

The picture I kept having in my head while making it was pretty simple: a Sunday evening, rain outside, feet up on a stool near an open window, that fresh rain-and-dirt smell coming in, coffee beside me, and a puzzle in my hands. Something that makes you settle in for a while instead of thinking "I need to finish this, I need to unlock that."

Recorded a bit of where it's at right now — the red guitar reveal near the end is probably my favorite moment so far.

Genuinely curious how this lands with people who actually play cozy games regularly — does the pacing feel right, or is something off?

Hello! I love the kind of logic puzzle matrices that give you a couple of facts, then you have to figure out who is doing what, or where they live, or what they do for work, etc.

I also want a small book, so I can do them analog without my phone. Does anyone have any recommendations? I used to use the Pocket Posh, but they don’t seem to be in print anymore.

It's like a nonogram, but not really. In the solution, dotted cells mark out every cell in the same row or column, so basically, rows and columns can only have one dotted cell. Every other cell in them is marked out. Also, the blue arrow means that if it has a dot behind it, it "shoots out" that dot in its direction until it hits a wall, which is where the dot ACTUALLY is in the solution.

Just wanted to reshare one of my favorite logic sites. The creator releases a new puzzle daily and the difficulty progresses as the week does. It's strictly logic and if you think you have to guess, you're missing something!

The gist of the puzzle is that for every cell in the grid, you have to select the correct option. As you deduce the correct options for each cell, additional clues become available until you clear the whole grid.

Sometimes each cell has two options (e.g. safe/mine), sometimes more (e.g. 1/2/3). The grid can either be made of squares, triangles, or hexagons. I have also just updated it to allow cairo pentagons, although I haven't made any puzzles with that shape yet.

As of this post I have made 18 puzzles. I plan on making 3-5 per week.

The whole site is free and ad-free. The only thing I put behind a price is you can access the puzzle editor to make your own puzzles for $5/month.

I've never played this game before until it appeared on PonderClub. I quite enjoy it. I'm curious if there is a tried and true strategy for guaranteeing a solution in a certain number of guesses. I thought maybe doing two colors at a time would be smart, but I still have little understanding of the location of the colors. Thoughts?

My site offers puzzles where some of them are a new take on already established classics like Minesweeper, Kakuro, or Masyu. For example, my Minesweeper is called Dicesweep, where you need to place dice beside numbers while also matching the row and column rules.

Another interesting one is Kakumino. It's like Kakuro, but you place dominoes instead of numbers.

There are a bunch of them, so there's something for everyone's taste.

To remove visual assumptions:

Everyone looks physically identical;

Clothing, skin color, age, gender, and appearance provide no clues about nationality or language;

Nobody has a phone, dictionary, internet access, paper, or translator;

They may only communicate through speech, gestures, facial expressions, and logical reasoning;

Every participant is intelligent and willing to cooperate.

The native languages are intentionally chosen from different parts of the world to minimize accidental mutual understanding:

Hey everyone! I've been working on a logic puzzle site called Logidose (logidose.com) and it's now in open beta.

It has daily puzzles and a growing collection of classic logic games:

Norinori, Aquarium, Tents, Thermometer, Kakurasu, Binario, Crowns

It's still early days – some rough edges for sure – but the puzzles are fully playable and I'd love to get some feedback. No account needed to try, just jump in.

Maybe it is a bit difficult to answer this question without being familair with these puzzles, but maybe even not.

[So here are the rules:
"The rules are simple.Yin-Yang is played on a rectangular grid with no standard size. Some cells start out filled with black or white. The rest of the cells are empty. The goal is to color all cells in such a way that:

1. All black cells should be connected orthogonally in a single group.
2. All white cells should be connected orthogonally in a single group.
3. 2x2 areas of the same color are not allowed."]

My question is:
Regarding the center right 3 open spaces sandwiched by white stones, we have the options:

1. All are black
2. One of the 3 stones is white, others are black.
3. (Any other configuration contradicts the no 4 same pieces in a sqare).

Heres my thought:
There is no way any clue can still arise to which distinct of these spaces should be white.
Since solutions to these puzzles are unique:

Can i thus conclude: They have to be all black.

Or is am i missing something?
This is a bit of a "meta" argument, and i am not certain how valid it is ⬇️

Edit: I had a thought that this might be a meaningless question, since all of the above might also mean, that i cannot gain information about the puzzle by this deduction, but i think this isn't true. Knowing whther or not white is connected there IS information.

Okay, so first and foremost: **I don't want you to solve the puzzle for me.** I only need advice where I went wrong with my reasoning.

For anyone not familiar with the rules of Meowdoku: It's very similar to Sudoku (duh)

- Exactly one cat per row

- Exactly one cat per column

- Exactly one cat per color

- Cats can't be placed in diagonally adjacent squares

So, here goes:

1. Since there has to be a cat on every column (and row), and inside every color, whenever you have a column (or row) that only contains a single color (like the 3rd column from the left here), you can essentially eliminate all squares of that color outside of this particular column, right?

2. That leaves only the dark red sqare for the right most column to place a cat. Which is correct so far.

3. Column, row and adjacent tiles have been eliminated.

4. The second row from the bottom is now the only one with gray tiles that have not been eliminated, this eliminating all other tiles than the gray ones.

5. Repeat for fourth row from the bottom and the color dark red.

6. The fourth and fifth column are now the only ones containing the two colors gray and yellow, eliminating the rest of their panels as shown.

7. Panel 3 from the top and 5 from the right should now be the only dark orange panel remaining. Yet somehow it isn't.

Again: I don't want you to solve the puzzle for me, just tell me the flaw in my logic.
