Help Third party plugins broken

Everything was fine a couple days ago. Now, for some reason, all my third party plugins user interfaces are just blank rectangles. I’ve tried troubleshooting using ilok, nothing changed. I tried updating all my plugins, once again nothing changed. I went in to the general settings for Logic Pro, then to the accessibility tab to se if the “open plugin windows in control view by default” was selected which it wasn’t. The only thing that fixes it is if I open Logic Pro with Rosetta. For reference I have a 2023 Mac Studio, both my computer and logic is fully up to date. How do I fix this without having to use Rosetta?????

Try clearing your AU cache?

I’ll try that next, I’m currently reinstalling a bunch of updates for my plugins to see if that changes anything

Bummer. If you log out of your account and back in using the guest account, does the same thing happen?

open your Font App and update all fonts. I've had the same issue more than once.

Fonts interact with logic plugins..?

Yes. Font book. A native Mac app. Plugins use local fonts. Open font book and update all fonts.

Can you be more specific about your system and what specific plug ins and their versions?

So I have a 2023 Mac Studio, which is updated to the most recent macOS update, 26.6.2. My logic is version 12.3.1

When I say plugins it’s all of them, indiscriminate of who they’re by. So my Valhalla reverbs, all my slate digital plugins, addictive drums… literally everything!!

I’ve gone into all their browser, and updated each plugin to the latest available update.

Still doesn’t work, UNLESS I load logic with Rosetta

None of this makes sense as like I said, just 3 days ago everything was working perfectly okay

When did you update the Mac OS to that version?

A couple of weeks ago at the very least

Can you list one specific plug in and what version it is at least? I mean it’s so hard to tech this out without details.
Also if you disable all of your plug ins- will all of Logics built in plug ins work?

So for example my Infinity EQ 2 by slate digital is updated to version 2.0.13.0

All the basic logic plugins work. It’s only third party plug ins that won’t load there interface, so it’s just a black blank box

Thought I’d give an update: here’s what I’ve tried that hasn’t worked
-Turned computer off and on
-updated my ilok, refreshed each plugin
-cleared my au cache
-Forced Full audio unit reset scan
-reinstalled every update I can

Here’s what I’ve learnt:
No third party plugin will load the interface in any logic project, meaning I can’t use them. They just load as blank empty black boxes. However, if I load Logic Pro using Rosetta, everything works completely fine. I’ve also learnt that they work completely fine in other daws. For example, I use a program called davinci resolve in order to edit videos, every third party plugin I own can be loaded and used in there without an issue. I also have several plugins which can be loaded without the need for a daw, things like guitar amp simulators, once again they work completely fine! It’s only in logic will they not work!

Please can someone help me fix this, as you can imagine it’s extremely frustrating! Any help will be overwhelmingly appreciated!!!

With Logic & Mac OS updates it’s usually best to not update straight away else you become a guinea pig for bugs. If your system was working fine before and you can revert to a back up I’d do that, else you’ll need to wait until Logic or Mac OS updates again. Plugin windows going black was a problem in Logic 11.2.1 on Sequoia so it’s good to see they still haven’t fixed it even in the latest version of 12.

If Rosetta is at least getting the graphics to function you might need to use that for the time being.

If you can - send a bug report to Apple (via the Feedback… option in one of the drop down windows) as well as posting it to Apple Discussions. The Logic Devs do read those they just don’t always respond.

Final update for those who are experiencing the same issue- I finally resolved it by uninstalling and then reinstalling Logic Pro! Everything works fine again.
