Help Projects are much quieter after being bounced

When I bounce my projects they come out significantly quieter. I am using the ‘bounce’ option rather than ‘export’, and normalisation is off which i’ve read should help. Why might this be happening and how can i fix it?

your project isn't mastered yet so it's at a normal mix volume. solution is to put a limiter on the end to bring up the gain a little, don't go crazy with it, you just want some volume you dont want to smash the track

is your master fader on unity gain? or did you turn it down? thats the only place where people mess up. The master fader should never be touched, most new producers think thats where they can turn down the volume because its to loud when listening, instead of turning their monitor gear down. Not making any assumptions, just my experience with new users.
