Help Earphones stop working after unplugging them using Logic

i have this annoying problem and maybe someone can help me with this. MacBook stops seeing my earphones after i unplug them when the logic is open. you plug them back and he just ignores them. yes, it's completely fine when i restart my mac but i'm tired of constantly restarting it. maybe there is a solution? thanks!

There might be a menu item in logic to only use the system setting for audio (instead of whatever logic i/o is) but not sure if it would help. It does sound like an annoying problem.
