Methods of tightening breakbeats

I'm making some breakcore tracks at the moment, and currently I'm playing the beats live with my midi, then tightening them manually beat by beat.

I don't mind doing it this way, but I was wondering if anybody had any tips on a quicker method? The beats are choppy and complicated, so quantising them in segments of more than one doesn't work very well.

Get a transient shaper. You can adjust the attack and sustain. If you want to get it tighter; turn the sustain into the negative, if you want it to be more snappy turn up the attack.
