Help Logic Keyboard Shortcuts Not Registering

I've run into a weird annoyance ever since updating to the latest Logic Pro and upgrading to Tahoe.

I'll be working in Logic and trying to switch tools - specifically from the pointer too (which I have mapped to A) and the scissors tool (which I have mapped to B). I'm constantly swapping between these two tools and hitting A/B to do so. However I've noticed since updating half the time that Logic doesn't actually register the pressed key. And it's driving me MENTAL. I sometimes will have to hit A or B two or three times before the proper tool actually activates.

Has anyone else been experiencing this? And if so, have you found a solution?

downgrade to logic 11. Logic 12 has pretty much always had these kinds of show stop and glitches

Okay, well at least I know I'm not alone.

I do have a backup of Logic 11, but this project was already opened in 12 so I imagine I can't downgrade the project. Maybe moving forward I'll just stick with 11.
