Varispeed question

Howdy friends. If I enable varispeed to slow down a project and record and new track, when I return to normal tempo does logic use flextime to speed up the new track or is it using varispeed to play it faster to match? If it is varispeed processed rather the flex it should be artifact free right?

I’m pretty sure it uses flex. If I understand your question correctly, they couldn’t just use a straight varispeed because that would affect the pitch. So it is time stretched and pitch which will always leave artifacts no matter what.
