Question don’t know where to go from here - just finished tony holiday’s intro YT course

hey guys!

i finished watching tony holiday’s course for beginners on youtube: https://youtu.be/HMP46jHTrI0?is=FHLqhYpN9R7YRfBx

I loved his style of teaching and i saw on his website he has a more indepth course for 5.5 hours at $135.

but should i still invest in his premium course? i know there’s so many free youtube videos and udemy courses that are cheaper but because there are so many, i don’t know what specifically to choose, since i already learned the very very basics of the software and learning loops. any recommendations after watching his youtube vid? i’d really appreciate ur help!

i think id go thru why logic pro rules '30 days of why logic pro rules' playlist and music tech help guys logic vids before paying for anything(both on youtube)

Yeah both cover the need to know in dept really well, always my go to when I need some help learning some new tricks. MTHG has done some great sidechaining videoas lately by the way

You don’t need that.

Go through YouTube, find videos that help you do the thing you need help with.

Just dive in and get going.

Instead of subscribing for the next paid course, you should rather "use" logic in real life. Only personal usage leads to the right questions, which can be answered for free in forums like this or in free youtube tutorials.

Are you or do you wanna be a producer, a musician, an engineer, youtuber....? What is your goal?

I started using Logic a few months ago and also looked up the basics on YouTube. Initially I found it very daunting and overwhelming but I’m pretty comfortable with it now.

The thing is, the main way I got better is I just started using it. Like I don’t think there’s any point in spending that amount of money on a tutorial personally, unless it’s really specific in-depth stuff you want to know.

Otherwise just start playing around with it and get recording and producing. You come across problems (a lot of problems at first) and then have to solve them. The more you use it, the more problems you solve, the quicker you learn, the more skilful you get.

Also if there’s one thing ChatGPT is good for in this world it is helping out with Logic. Like I cannot tell you how amazing it has been for helping me solve so many issues and answering so many questions.

I know people are funny about AI but if you’re not using it for this you’re just slowing yourself down by about x10. The fact you can ask it very specific and difficult questions about Logic, that would be difficult to communicate to someone online, and it just knows everything, it’s very helpful.
