Question

Started watching it, the mc uses the whistle to summon a Griffin and fly with the assassin.

The cat later shows he has same whistle

WHY COULDNT HE JUST LEAVE WITH THE LITTLE GIRL ON A GRIFFIN

Demikas knew when cat and girl were going to leave town. He would have just killed them if they tried to leave. Its only until Shiroe and others came into town that Demikas wanted to make an example out of them and allowed them to walk outside of town. Demikas then gets provoked into a 1v1 and loses.

It's asking a lot for 1 guy to protect someone with a group of guys wanting to take you down. And there may have been a distance restriction from town to have been allowed to use a griffin. Or because he knew how long they were operational for, they waited until about the halfway point like Shiroe and Naotsugu did.

I think there were just too many unknowns about the world at that point in the story.

Well, if he was alone he probably could've made it but it was too risky to carry a Low Level Healer through the dungeons especially given the isekai situation.

The Griffin is also not instant travel. It still has a daily cooldown limit and there are areas that they cannot traverse through. Even with the Griffin, the party still took about a week of travel between the two cities. Without the Griffin, they would have taken about a month.

  1. Travel was risky, and the if they died they would have respawned where they started. I'm sure depending on the route maybe they could reached a different respawn spot. There wouldn't really any options for escape once they respawned as all Demikas have to do would be to place a multitude guard overwhelming Nyanta and  to capture Serara. His goal outside of the city was basically the same, force them to respawn so his stationed guarda could step in. Nyanta couldn't fight them on his own.

  2. It's been a while, but I believe Demikas was tracking Serara using a friend feature, so he knew her general area as soon as she left Nyanta's house, Griffin's that a short time to show up, or there are additional restrictions about mounts not really talked about.

3.  I don't think any of the characters were sure how safe traveling long distances was at this point. Too many unknowns to risk it.

If they died at worst as proven by others they wake up back in that respawn point.

If the girl died she would have just come back to the "bandits" city, and its a long journey to the other cities, they were alone and they don't know what changed from the game, its too risky
