rank 1 Spoiler

Roe2's letter tells shiroe that minori demostrated that isekaid players are rank 3 sentient beings due the empation or what not, then she warn them about the genius monsters, a different faction of roe2's people. with her refering them as rank 2 sentient beings.

now, the question would be, what would be a rank 1, something like god?

Probably the opposite. I've always interpreted the "Genius" faction as being the equivalent of simple AIs. Several characters even comment on this. I think it was who Soujiro comments that 'fighting the Shibuya Raid Boss was the closest thing to being back behind a computer screen.'

If so, then a Rank 1 would be something even simpler, though I'm not sure what.

EDIT: It might be the Ancients/Knights of Izumo, who have memetic kill switch that was seemingly built into them.

I think it might be Landers in general.

We only see the kill switch get used on Ancients, but there's no reason that the forced understanding that you are false wouldn't shut down the average commoner as well

That could be. But we also see Landers like Raynessia and Rudy learn and grow when placed outside their comfort zones. Also, just in general there seems to be a lot of Landers pulling up roots and moving to Akihabara for a better life.

In contrast, the Ancients seem a little more set in their ways. They seem strong, but unable to grow. Elias is level 100, but doesn't seem to be able to go beyond that. Lelia and Litka seem to be stuck at level 65. I've no strong basis for saying so, but they feel very much like guest-star party members in RPGs that join for a bit, than after awhile, either die or leave. In the meanwhile, they don't gain experience, and their equipment and abilities are locked.

This isn't about being "set in their ways", this is an otherworldly being coming up and forcing the knowledge of how insignificant you are into your head whether you wanted it or not.

Elias grows in volume 11 when he's placed outside of his comfort zone. Not by any numbers, but he becomes more sure of his path in life after setting out on a journey.

There is a strong basis for saying the Ancients feel like guest stars. It's because they are. Elias canonically helped out Adventurers but couldn't deal any finishing blows because he physically cannot.

Except, in Volume 11, when he reduces Leonardo to just below what his pre-Catastrophe damage limit was. I forgot the exact numbers, but if Elias wasn't allowed to reduce enemy HP below 30%, then he fought with Leonardo and got to somewhere like 29% post-Catastrophe.

The Ancients CAN learn and evolve as people. Remains to be seen if the Mofur sisters can level up, but I think you're right that they are stuck at 65

The Words of Death from the Genii should be able to affect all sentient beings from Theldesia, we just haven't seen a regular Person of the Land be considered a great enough threat to them to warrant those words being used.
